You know what really grinds my gears?

I’d defo love to see someone ask everyone to do this as a joke

I read something yesterday where some guy died setting up a gender reveal thing. Tragic but got to ask was it worth it? Like no one cares what fucking gender your child is bruv, no offence to the Americans on the forum but it’s another of those dumb Americanisms that have made their way over here.

Yeah I’m with you guys on this. When I have a baby if the woman I have a baby with ever insists on a gender reveal I’ll honestly walk away and be done with her.

Those kind of shitty things can stay in America.

By Christ I didn’t know that gift lists were a thing for fucking gender reveal parties.

What an abomination. So I’m guessing there’s another gift list for the baby shower as well?

Thieves masquerading as excited parents-to-be. Get in the bastard bin

Agreed with all the ‘nays’ here, yet the UK has heartily embraced the whole Hallowe’en bullshit that goes on. When I first arrived here in 1980 it came as surprise to me, all this Hallowe’en crap. Never was a thing in the UK.

And you can add to that all the lighting up of houses for Christmas, plus all the cheesy inflatable figures, castles, etc. Bah, humbug, cunts.

See this is why my favourite holiday is the good old fashioned ‘British as Brexit’ holiday, Bonfire night.

We have Halloween parties here in India. People just like to ape the West cause they think it’s cool. Never understood it. I can understand kids wanting to do it cause it’s a fun thing for them but to have Halloween parties for adults is just sad.

I wonder if next they’ll think of sexual orientation reveal parties.

The funny thing about bonfire night is that it’s celebrating failure.

There’s a lot of stuff from America that is gradually coming over here.
Trick or treat, prom parties, baby showers and even baby gender revealing parties.

Well we sent them James Corden, so I’d say we’re still just about coming out on top.

We also sent them Joss Stone and Piers Morgan for a few years, well worth it

In a way. But originally the date was celebrated by loyal King James “fans” to mark the fact he survived the attack. They celebrated the plot being successfully quashed.

It’s a big shame it stuck around because fireworks are bloody shit!

That’s true so maybe, rather than having fireworks, they should celebrate by grabbing anyone seen going to light a firework, torturing them on the rack and beating them so badly they’ll sign a document confessing of their crime.
I could see this catching on. :grinning:.

I’m not a fan of them being widely sold so twats can set them off for most of October and November, but I absolutely love a massive, organised public display on Bonfire Night. Definitely a highlight of late Autumn.

I’ve got this work man at my flat and he’s doing work replacing some of the doors with fire doors.

Jesus, his breathing is violent I’ve had to step outside to cool myself down. It’s annoying me to no end.

He’s literally breathing like I’ve never heard another human being breathe ffs

Is it like Martin Tyler but he’s got nothing to commentate on?
