Wojciech Szczesny

Dunno how I managed to delete the other post but i tried to edit it, haha.

Mate, claims I get but the CCAA I have no idea hahah some silly Twitter Twat language

-8% shot stopping is reserved for Almunia. Again I dunno how that make any sense at all.

They do make stats up 100% , for the likes for people to feel intelligent and to make popular shit players look good.

Nor do I, i just know that the closer the image is to a large, equal sided hexagon the better the player is

Yeah, I think he has been fantastic. I mean, I’m slightly biased because I always liked him and think we should have kept him (or at the very least have sold him for more than a tub of twiglets).

In some of the Juventus games I’ve seen this season, he has been decisive. When we were told Petr Cech would earn us 15 points a season… well, that’s what Woj is doing for Juve.

And saw this the other day.

Who knew Wojciech was a world-class goalkeeper, eh?

@Electrifying knew before you

Woj owes his improvement to the vastly superior quality in coaching he received at Roma and Juventus. He was never going to become top quality under Peyton.

Or he has matured, now consistent and at prime of his life

Or he improved in Italy - because he was coached properly. I mean I’ll take his word for it.

Or maybe it’s a combination of both lol

Nah it’s definitely because of Peyton leaving as every goal keeper we had got better when they joined a new club

He literally improved ten fold the season he joined Roma on loan. Even if I was skeptical about how long it would last - he’s proven beyond any doubt that coaching at Arsenal waa a huge problem.

You got a point imo. Look how Fabianski has also come off leaps too.

he’s gone up a level this season though as well, no? What do you think. This season I think he is world class.

Sure, but trying to attribute it to coaching alone would be silly. Not disagreeing with your point at all, just that it’s also pretty common that players improve along a rough trajectory and for GKs that’s the case too.

Memories of Anfield 2012 here !

He’s honestly world class.

Ā£7 fucking million. Gazidis…

He’s developed into a top goalkeeper but that absolutely never happens here under the coaching staff we had at the time so the fee isn’t as criminal as it looks in hindsight.

We definitely could have gotten more but this was pre-mega inflation and way before Woj ever looked like he’d be outright world class.

It’s not hindsight to me. I definitely remember saying the fee was way too low at the time. Though I did tend to rate him more highly than many other fans. I have a gift you see, I just know when a player has ā€œitā€. Hence why I’m not getting off the Bellerin train

The fee was way too low even for the time.

Ā£7m is criminal

I also loved Woj and thought he was underappreciated here. But Bellerin is shit.
