What was the last film you watched?

The Pianist. Truly heartbreaking film. Even more, knowing that such level of genocide is still happening even today.

Yeah, really good film!

watched the housemaid and the running man over last night and tonight. both enjoyable

The original or the remake?

The 2025 one I didnt even know there was two till a few minutes ago, the 80’s one sounds very naff and cringey

The original Running Man is a bit cheesy, very 80s, but it’s a great and very entertaining watch! I would highly recommend! It’s on Netflix still…

I’ve not seen the remake but would give it a go

no thanks, it sounds awful and wont be a patch on the new one

It’s a classic! Trust me!

I’m 23 and watched Now You See me when I must have been 11/12 or so. Still a top 25 movie of all time for me. Premise was so unique and the execution was marvelous. Made magic look cooler than superpowers. Casting was unreal. Even today I consider it Cristopher Nolan level good (a lĆ” Tenet/Inception/Dunkirk etc).

Marty Supreme

I liked it, though not as much as I expected beforehand.

Watched I Swear last night, what an absolutely brilliant film about John Davidson, a Tourette’s Syndrome sufferer. The film documents his life story and how growing up in the 80’s was extremely challenging. It is both funny, heartbreaking and sincere. One of the best films I have seen in a very long time. 10/10

Enjoyable, informative, moving, and great performances from Robert Aramayo and Maxine Peake. Feels like this will become a great addition to the cannon of classic British films. Would highly recommend.

The book was superb.

Andy Weir is awesome.

The only part of the movie I didn’t like was the rocket on the launchpad that looked like Blue Origin (this is an Amazon movie after all. However, this turned out to be good when the rocket exploded. It’s just a shame Jeff Bezos wasn’t on the science team.
