Seen F1 last night it just reminded me of Gran Turismo. The storys crap and i didnt care about the characters. The race scenes are great probably helped because they where filmed on race days. Pitt and Bardem are great on screen together. 5/10
I liked the F1 film, felt it was a bit too long though.
I’m far more into the aesthetic of the APX GP team cars than I am the plot, which was the predictable hero story with a smattering of F1 tech and terminology. Enjoyable, visually appealing, but ultimately hollow. 6/10.
Maybe its just me who feels this way but in films I dont care for realism. I just want something engaging and exciting for 2 hours or so.
Yeah. A coming of age film? Didn’t see that coming. Nice practical effects. Poor Eric. Laughed a lot at the social commentary of his fiancé.
Forgot to list Ballerina. Starts worryingly formulaic, then ramps up, then slows again, and finishes with absolute insanity. Stunt performers do not get paid enough!
Heads of State on Prime. Cena and Elba.
Utter OTT nonsense. Enjoyed it a lot.
Watched F1 this afternoon, and thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
9/10
Enjoyed it, but the inevitable Abby Dabby, demanding to be under the spotlight towards the end, was a bit cringe.
It’s a throwback to the action movies of the 80’s/90’s, and they also had the occasional cringe ending ![]()
Going to watch the new Jurassic Park tomorrow, although I’ve heard it’s really bad ![]()
Thinking of going to see the Jurassic world movie tomorrow. Anyone seen it already? And is it worth going?
It was terrible. It does face stiff competition for the “Worse Ever Jurassic Park Movie”, but it’s right up there.
Kids will love it because they probably wont notice the gaping plotholes that you could drive a truck through.
JP3?
I admit I had forgotten just how rubbish JP3 was. I’d probably put them on par with each other.
Cheers. Might consider other movies/other activities for tomorrow eve then.
Hey, it’s not bad if you want to watch it for comedic value ![]()
I saw it with my old man, who is a lot less cynical than me, and even he was struggling.
No lie, the plot device for the film is a scientist, in a state of the art clean room, thinking it was an ok idea to bring a chocolate bar into said clean room, and then drop the wrapper which apparently is enough to bring the entire island into meltdown.
“Oh come on!”, was my dad’s reaction ![]()
It looks terrible but I’ll definitely watch it at some stage.
Superman (2025) 7/10
The storys not perfect and Lex plot is very much a dumb down version of his plot in Dawn of Justice. But the cast is great and Gunn perfectly nails who and what superman stands for. Nice entry into the beginner of the DC new movie universe.
#supershit
Watched Superman in the theatre last night. Yeah, Lister’s summary just about sums it up.
Superman as well.
I’ll probably go a bit higher with an 8.
Had an absolute blast watching it. Not a perfect movie by any means but it serves as a great platform to kickstart the new DC universe(on a technicality because you could say Peacemaker started it off).
Very invested in what’s to come next. Very curious how the tackle the introduction of Batman if they keep the Reeves movies separate.
