I love the scene when they’re all in the cinema singing…all time great Christmas film IMO

Raiders of the Lost ark.

(Can’t believe they got that unfunny one from Fleabag to shit all over this franchise)

Stunning film and score. Love the original Indy trilogy. Just watching Dial of Destiny this evening…it’s ok.

The haunting soundtrack related to the Ark still resonate with me to this day- used to freak me out as a kid!

It’s one of the greats by John Williams. The Desert Chase track is epic!

Wasn’t Bomber Pat Roach in more than a couple of the Indy movies?

I remember he played the bald Nazi that Indy has the fist fight with, and I think he was the Thuggie who Indy fights on the rock crusher conveyor belt in the Temple of Doom.

Just finished up watching Saltburn. Wasn’t one I was considering but glad i did go with in the end as what a decent film it is.

Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse

Very, very good.

8/10

Also just watched Saltburn. I think it was near perfect apart from the ratio. Top notch performances all round especially from Richard E Grant. Barry Keoghan was excellent again. He is becoming one of the best young actors around atm. Not at all what I expected but would recommend. Very solid 8/10.

Also watched Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Probably better than the 4th film but nowhere near the level of the original trilogy. Unfortunately it is the type of film you can walk out, make a cuppa, without it impacting on your experience. I had low expectations and they were met. Not sure what rating I’d give it tbh.

It’s 2023 and…

checks notes

Yep, Die Hard is still emphatically NOT a Christmas film.

Has anyone seen this?

I watched it about a year ago and have watched it 3 times since. It’s really enjoyable and very impressive for 1. a directorial debut, 2. acting debuts, 3. Indie low budget film (that was picked up by Amazon after a festival.)

Really good.

Watched 99 Homes. Strong film let down by a poor ending.

I watched a french heist film that you recommended on here. Think it was from 1970. Le cercle Rouge, or something?

Really good film.

Got this on my list but I really need to watch the originals first as been way too long.

About to pop this one on after catching my eye while looking through some options. Hadn’t even heard of it previously but as you say can’t go wrong with a film starring Hanks.
