Home Alone 2.

I will never tire of either this film or the first one.

My two favourite Christmas films. Can’t wait til my daughter is old enough to enjoy them.

Home Alone 2 is better than the first one IMO. Think the New York scenery makes it seem more Christmasy.

Agreed.

Gonna watch them both over the next two days.

The original is the superior film.

Plus the traps were cooler and Kevin’s survival skills have improved.

This scene always kills me

Yep. 2 is a brilliant sequel, and does a good job of retreading ground from the first one while introducing enough new elements and settings to keep it fresh, but you can’t beat the original imo. Not too much in it though, sequels are usually markedly worse.

They are both on my all time Christmas clasics list along with Die Hard, Gremlins, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. The original wins every time but the second is a near perfect sequel.

The Iron Claw

Biopic(ish) about the Von Erich Family. Zac Efron stars as Kevin Von Erich. For those not aware, the Von Erich’s were wrestling stars in the 80s and tragedy beset the family with 3 of the sons dying, 2 by suicide.

It was an interesting look at the family that I knew of a bit from watching them as a kid. Not sure if non-wrestling fans would really enjoy this one.

Were you picking your feet in Poughkeepsie?

Best film of the lot. Masterful. Well ahead of its time.

Watched Toy Story 4 with the kiddos. Really fun movie, obviously I cried a few times.

Hated the ending of that. But it did seem a finite ending, even if I wasn’t a fan, seemed like a proper full stop, so will be interesting how they work Toy Story 5.

All depends on if Disney pays Tom Hanks what he wants so they can have Woody in the movie. I didn’t love the ending but I feel like the movies have gotten progressively more bittersweet as they went on.
