What are you watching?

‘True Story’

Starring Kevin Heart and Wesley Snipes.

It’s about a comic who runs into issues on tour when a groupie dies in his room. Sounds like it would be good, but it’s not. Kevin Heart plays the heart of gold guy who is taken advantage of by everyone especially his brother Carlton (Wesley Snipes), it’s very preachy and it’s clear that this show is meant to be in some way analogous to his (Kevin Hearts) real life. There’s also a lot of poor me, my life is so hard as a billionaire movie star, comic slash entrepreneur crap. The story arcs are somewhat unbelievable in addition to some of the acting being really bad and the chemistry between Snipes and Heart being practically non existent in the first couple of episodes, which is a surprise considering Snipes is a legend, the characters are also made up of lazy dumb cliche stereotypes like implied Jewish manager who’s all about the bottom line, Woman who’s true exceptional talent isn’t appreciated or recognised, manipulative older failure older brother who is Jealous of his brothers success .

Wouldn’t recommend at all, at this point Kevin Heart is the black Adam Sandler, another unfunny comedian who inexplicably gets work and as such churns out 2/3 absolute trash movies a year. Unfortunately for Heart his transition into thriller/drama isn’t a good one and it’s hard to take him seriously. I just wish I knew who the fuck all these cunts are that have been giving this show 10s. They owe me 2 hours of my life which I will never get back!

2/10

I fucking hate tv shows that do this.

To be fair season one and two weren’t like that, I just think the writers got a little bit lost but then found their way towards the end

The chaser just got 11 questions wrong in the final lol.

What an absolute disaster never seen anything like it before :joy::joy:

3 episodes into Witcher season 2. Think it’s better than the 1st season - they’ve established the main characters and I feel like I can just enjoy the world a lot more.

Geralt’s voice is so unapologetically gravelly, need fucking subtitles at times just to understand wtf my man Henry is saying.

They’ve really captured the essence of Kaer Morhen as well, loving those wide shots of the fortress. Would love for future seasons to have Zoltan and/or Regis in it. Feel like this show is going strong, really enjoying it.

I feel like I’m struggling to give a shit about this being out after the infuriating ending I got on Witcher 3. Still boils my piss every time I remember it.

Someone didn’t have a snowball fight with Ciri

Been watching Wheel of Time. I’m really enjoying it. I’m re-reading the books too and it’s interesting to see the differences. A lot of fun.

Making Macclesfield FC. Wanted to watch this for awhile but was put off with Robbie Savage involvement.
It was worth it though and it’s an uplifting story of a club reborn.

To be fair to Robbie, he does seem to genuinely care about Macclesfield and grassroots football.

Yeah tbf he made a lot happen. I’m just a sucker for these community clubs.
Just having a sense of belonging is a big thing for them.

@Stroller totally agree with this, I read a book a couple of years ago, I think it was called The Bottom Corner, it’s about lower level non league clubs and their struggles, absolutely fascinating insight into what it actually means for the fans and all those involved with the clubs.

These are the football stories I prefer to read, sometimes it just shows up the arrogance and entitlement some of us top level fans can be.
