America is a difficult one. I believe guns are simply a ridiculous thing for a normal human being to own. School shootings etc should never even be a thing and it is because the kid can just grab his dad’s gun.
But, America has a massive gang issue, the police are fucking useless and I would want to defend my home from being robbed and protect my family. If you ban guns, gangs would still have loads or guns because the police can’t challenge that shit. Like these riots right now, I fully support anyone to shoot them if they are on their property. Its a massive country with borders to Mexico and an oceans either side, its so easy to import illegal stuff.
Guns are banned in England but even In my relatively safe town we had a couple of Londoners drive through and blast a shotgun out of a car at people
The police need to be fixed first, people need to trust them, people need to trust the government and money needs to be more available to the poorest communities. Once that happens then they should seriously talk about removing guns. But they are a long way away.
