01 to 05, Pires does big poo poo on Giggs, this we can all agree on.
Them being shitheads is different than me saying they were shit. Sorry if thatâs confusing. I think Giggs is a bad person and Scholes got away with being a butcher on the pitch because he played for ManU and was English. I just think they benefited from the way the PL exploded in popularity. Theyâre good players and ManU fans love them for good reasons but theyâre not like all time greats or even close in my book.
Being a winger in the 90âs isnât comparable to todays football. Back then 442 dominated and the winger (or wide midfielders) role was to stretch the attack, dribble for space and be a good crosser. Also, another aspect are the conditions. Today itâs hybrid grass and perfect pitches all year round in the PL. Rarely do you se a muddy and uneaven surface in this day and age.
Donât think youâll get much disagreement.
Odegaard will probably end his career with more goals and assists then Zidane and Iniesta.
What does that mean?
It means; heâs Mik Artetaâs man, heâs better than Zidane, weâve got Martin Odegaaaaard
I think the rule that goalkeepers must pass the ball to a player outside the penalty box (when a goal-kick) should be reinstated. I can appreciate a beautiful passing game (except our shambolic attempts with it under Emery), but itâs become very boring. Pass, pass, pass, pass, ZZZzzz⌠Didnât City hold the ball for like 7 minutes straight a while ago? Without ever reaching the opponents half?
Agreed but for a different reason for me. When goals get conceded in that position itâs so cheap and dumb.
Should only ever see that after an hour on a 5,6,7, a side game after an hours play with lads after work.
tbhâŚI think Man City will do that with or without that rule in place
Shielding the player from reaching the ball should be disallowed or in other words, if the playerâs intention is not to play the ball & is to obstruct the opponent from reaching the ball, then it should be a foul.
Encourage more on-the-ball activity.
City used to play better before Haaland
Nothing unpopular about that, I think most share that opinion and itâs been analysed a lot
Yep nothing unpopular about that, the commentary team on my game are discussing it right now
Sorry @Trion , you are not unpopular!
my unpopular opinion is that @Trion thought of it before any pundits or commentators did
Saliba, Gabriel M and Rice are the only three world class players in our squad that can be relied upon.
(Would add Partey if he could stay fit)
Saka is not good at penalties and shouldnât be our chief penalty taker
He has missed one pen for us, against West Ham (and it wasnât saved, it was completely miss-hit)âŚHe is perfectly fine taking penalties and I am guessing we take penalties in training and he and Ode are the most successful in the squad, hence why they take our pensâŚ
Completely disagree, I think his recent ones have been near perfect imo! A year ago I may have agreed.
It is an unpopular football opinion thread, after all.
