I agree, the purpose of CL football is to stabilise a sinking ship, we need the money and we need the emirates packed out next season

Liquidate the FC. Just transition to a clothing line. Football ain’t our thing anymore.

Genuinely feel like it’s going to take something short of a major miracle to sort this shit show out.

We should’ve just taken Usmanovs millions, any resemblance of what Arsenal used to stand for is long gone. At least with the corrupt toad we’d possibly still be a bunch of cunts but at least be winning something.

i think this club is dead food…just going to drop lower and lower until we are low tier EPL. There is no spark, nothing is getting done the owners are too comfortale the scouts are the same as is the management and players…everything is a festering bowl of comfortable waste. Where is the ‘you perform or GET OUT’ there is no urgency, nothing at all…its just ‘blah whatever’

This club is absolutely fucked.

It sounded like he had some standards and would be involved enough to make changes if shit wasn’t working.

My main criticism with the Kroenkes is they let this shit fester, they’re not involved enough and demanding enough.

Too laid back.

It’s damaging not having fans at games too because this shit wouldn’t be so under the fucking radar either!

He’s a football fan, so no way would he of stood for this crap. I laugh at the people who turned their nose at Usmanov because of his “dirty” money as if the majority of money in football is clean anyway. City are owned by the state of Qatar, one of the most backward human rights abusing nations in the world, but it’s ok because they’ve paid off half the pundits and officials in the game. Abrhamovic would of made money in the same way Usmanov did, had he bought the club and there wasn’t so much resistance from the fans (not that they could of changed anything) and people like Wenger, then we would probably be celebrating 98 point seasons the same way city are.

I don’t think the Kroenkes view Arsenal as anything other than collateral to secure more funding for the LA Rams. That’s it.

People always say “oh the atmosphere in the stadium is toxic” well, it definitely should be. Arteta turned in half a season of slop, turned to youth only when forced to and then can’t adapt to injuries. Then he’s got the absolute chutzpah to say he needs specialist players. GTFO. He’s so lucky he hasn’t faced a full stadium. We should start looking for a new DoF now, drop Edu and Arteta. There’s no reason to follow this “plan” anymore.

That first paragraph is so fucking true and it feels like it. You’ve hit the nail right on the head there mate.

They’ve never used Arsenal as collateral though and wouldn’t actually have any need to either. This is a complete red herring. I think it’s basically just that other billionaires had a PL team so they got one too and don’t have a clue what to do with it.

You don’t think it’s part of their “portfolio” in terms of making deals? I’m not suggesting they’re mortgaging the stadium or anything like that. It’s more of a, “look at all my fucking assets” type deal.

If you don’t use it then it’s not collateral :man_shrugging:

I doubt it’s slipped by the bankers notice loaning the Kroenkes billions that they own a football club in London.

Good point. Should have been more precise with my language. IDK that it changes anything about my post. Their entire sports venture is all about the Rams. That complex in Inglewood is the be all, end all for them.

Exactly.
Having Kroenke who hasn’t got a clue about running a football club and couldn’t care less about it, is bad enough but to continually employ people who are as equally useless at their jobs as he is, is just ridiculous.

At least Usmanov would have put his money where his mouth is and is more interested in success than profit.

Who cares that his a crook?
So is Kroenke,

Ask any Chelsea, Man City or PSG supporters if they care if their success is bought or not.

Doing things “the Arsenal way” has got us nowhere.

Get rid of Kroenke, get rid of the board, get rid of Arteta, get rid of all the mercenary players who are earning a fortune but giving nothing back and get people in who care and who want success.

This has to stop and the people who defend this nonsense have to stop as well because, if they don’t, there is no limit to how far we can be dragged down.
