Naaa, I prefer us to be the underdogs. Let the focus be on City and Liverpool.

Pep could also become the first manager to win the league with a club with 115 FFP charges.

Yeah but when you consider the advanced stats, particularly the “club’s actual violations committed” stat, he has 5 titles already.

I don’t think I’ve felt the way I’ve felt about an Arsenal team since maybe 2009-10 (I know we had shitters like Almunia and Denilson). These young players we have now are an inspiration.

I do have to say this new crop have a certain steel about them that the likes of Fabrigas, RvP, Rosicky and many of the other players of that era did not. The way we’ve dispatched teams in the recent run of games I think is now giving us a fear factor we haven’t had since the Invincibles. Opposing teams step onto the pitch knowing they could receive a battering.

We’re on a really hot run. Can we maintain this, or will we fizzle out again?

The numbers are astonishingly good over the past 5 games. We seem to be clicking all of a sudden. Goals galore and barely giving away anything at all the other end.

We need our sick notes back to give us depth - if that happens then we might be able to maintain it.

Our next 3 PL games look perfectly winnable, too. This would be an improvement on the exact same fixtures last season (shamelessly replacing Southampton for Sheffield United here). We only got 3 points from the same 3 fixtures last season (Newcastle H, Southampton A, Brentford H)

Chelsea is tricky. They’re due against us and seemingly have built up a head of steam of sorts. Winning that one going into an international break would be astonishing.

That would mean a 9 league game winning streak ahead of the game at the Etihad. We wouldn’t even have to win that game at this rate.

If we win the title, it would be amazing but the media won’t see it that way.
Their love in with Guardiola and Klopp will be ruined and they’ll be taking the letter “p” off plucky. :grinning:

I agree but we had this feeling last season. Took one game to take out Tomiyasu & Saliba and we lost all our steel.
So even if we have it to go all the way, we have to be lucky with injuries this time round.

It’s a very good point.

Looking at out “losable” games in the run-in (Man City away, Brighton away, even Spurs away), they’re followed up by home games against Luton, Villa and Bournemouth respectively.

It’s imperative that we do not wallow and let a defeat fester when it happens. Have to re-assert ourselves quickly and learn from last season’s inadequacies.

We’re 2 points off the top of the league going into the end of Feb. We’re also in the best run of form we’ve had all season. Saka and Ødegaard seem to be peaking at the right time.

We have a very winnable draw against Porto. Get through it and then we’ll hopefully get a European heavyweight in the QFs.

We’ve still got loads to fight for. If you’re asking me about the state of the Arsenal, it’s in a pretty fucking good state.

How are Liverpool the worst of the 3 and are top of the league and have the easiest schedule ffs?

Fucking scriptwriters. Klopp winning the PL with fucking Mac Allister as a #6 will be the end of me.

The injuries are really adding up for Liverpool. I think its pretty likely they start to crack soon.

Right now Diaz and Gakpo are their only clearly fit attackers to face Luton. Jota seems out for at least a few months. Both Salah and Nunez had muscle issues against Brentford and are reportedly having scans.

In midfield, they only really have Endo, MacAllister, and Elliott clearly fit right now.

Some of these guys will be back very soon but I question their ability to play twice a week the rest of the year, chasing four trophies, without some further injuries.

I still fear City much more.

If we had Liverpool run, I’d bet my house we’d win the league

Fuck sake after City I cant see them dropping a point. What an incredible run in they have

Although our last few games aren’t easy, Liverpool are in more competitions, they’ve got more injuries and their last couple of games are against CL contenders spurs and Aston Villa.

But Man City have an easy run in, especially West Ham and Fulham, who won’t have much to play for.

Am I missing something?

Forest away
United away
Everton away
Villa away

Brighton home
Spurs home

Course they will drop points lol

Let’s hope their luck runs out soon and we only have to take care of City.
