What is considered stupid is highly susceptible to the bias you hold.

Eastern Ukraine - Donetsk and Luhansk specifically harbors plenty of ethnic Russian-Ukrainians. I’d even argue the majority probably are ethnic Russians. I happen to know a few and amongst them opinion is divided on the war. What now if a majority of them don’t want to be ruled under Kiev, because they feel different from western Ukrainians (which are mixed often of Poles, Hungarians, Austrians, Germans, Jews, Tatars).
Surely you can see then that if it’s stupid to you that Northern Ireland should be given back to Ireland, since the Protestants there wanting to be separate and a part of the uk, you must acknowledge that the same applies to eastern Ukraine.
Your Russian bias shines through every time! No matter how hard you try, you cannot justify Russia’s illegal invasion into Ukraine. Don’t for a second pretend this was just about those two regions of Ukraine. Putin wanted to take the whole country.
When it comes to Northern Ireland, there will likely be a United Ireland at some point in the future, but it is for the people of Northern Ireland to decide their future and critically the first step in that process and what needs to happen is effective power sharing. I don’t think there would be any reluctance or resistance from the UK government to a United Ireland, providing it was the will of the people and there were certain safeguards in place.
Trying to compare Northern Ireland and the war in Ukraine is just stupid.

Unfortunately time and time again you seek to try to legitimise Russia’s actions of invading a sovereign country. It is quite clear that you have no issue with what Russia has done, which is plainly wrong and isn’t open to debate.
Or we can give the islands to a certain country that don’t have a country of their own. Well isolated so it will be harder to wage a war against the neighbours. They can worship the sheep or something.
