As for Ukraine joining NATO, that is firmly out of Putin’s control now. If Ukraine win this war, that’s exactly what will happen. The consequence of Russia’s illegal war to invade a sovereign nation is that Finland is now a NATO member, and Ukraine will follow if they end up winning the war and reclaiming their territory.
The Russian people have nothing to fear from NATO. This is all about Putin and those in Russia that want to expand their borders.
