Well done @Cristo, my man! Passing in London is probably as hard as it gets in terms of UK driving.
Driving in London is truly a horrible experience at times. Cunts everywhere who really enjoy being cunts. I am generally a very tolerant and patient person, but London drivers bring out the absolute worst in me.
Cyclists and scooters are the worst though. In a test in London, I’d be bricking it whenever I see either. Know that the cyclist will suddenly start cycling in the middle of the road, or that a scooter will overtake you out of absolutely nowhere on the inside.
@shamrockgooner that’s defo better than cyclists doing 30mph on a pavement and then showering abuse at pedestrians for being in the way as they glide past!
Thanks guys, bit of a milestone for me. For some reason this has just been an obstacle for me for so long.
Agreed @Sol - I just can’t believe how bad and aggressive some drivers in London, such a high number and it’s really often either van drivers or those cunts in Chelsea tractors who just have no respect for right of way.
Driver in Somerset/Bath were way nicer and more considerate, must be all the country lanes
Fucking hate people cycling on pavements. Get back on the road or get off your bike you cunt. Would love to just boot out their fucking back wheel as they go past.
Cycling infrastructure in Ireland is appalling (oddly where I live is a really decent exception to this rule). It tends to get about 1% of the transport budget when it should be closer to 10 or 15. I follow a few cycle advocacy groups on Twitter and they have been giving lots of praise recently to upgrades London has been making in this regard. But I’m wondering reading this now if those improvements are actually making any tangible difference. It doesn’t sound like they are.
Cyclists on the road are way too brave these days. Had one cunt cut right across me on the inside on a roundabout as I was turning off - had to emergence brake or he was brown bread.
Tbf a lot of local councils across London are now building cycle lanes. My borough of Enfield has just introduced loads. They need more of these across London but the trouble is its so dense.
I guess I’m a cycling snob but I don’t think the improvements they’re making in London have made much difference but maybe that’s because it’s in part of Central and London I don’t come to often.
I definitely don’t feel comfortable biking in London, especially not around Fulham and Chelsea.
