RIP Sidney Poitier.

I’ll never forget that Shooting Stars joke;

“True or false. Bill Cosby was the first ever black man”

“False”

“It was false. It was, in fact, Sidney Poitier”

Always found it a bit odd how big a deal he was in Hollywood circles but how he never really seemed to be in anything. It was possibly by choice I guess, he had a very strong body of work behind him by his mid 40s and maybe he was just a bit choosier about it afterwards…or was there more to it than that as to why the roles dried up.

RIP.

Indeed, RIP the 90’s tv wholesome dad who was a dirty dirty comedian.

Kind of young I’d say.

RIP!

He may not have been the best stand up act of all time, he may not have been the best street fighter either, but nobody can doubt his immense talent and significant contribution to each field.

Rest in Peace Bob Sagat.

I don’t know how his stand-up act was, but his ‘funniest videos’ show was sheer american, down home, cloyingly sickly crap. Millions loved it though, so who am I to say? Sixty-five is horribly young to die. R.I.P.

Yes the American home video may have been utter garbage, just like Full house. But I’m sure he was a nice guy and 65 is no age to die :pensive: RIP.

I actually used to watch Raising Dad in the days when Nickelodeon was good and he wasn’t bad in that. Circa 2002

Showing your age there. A lot younger than you let on.

Heard he was the voice of Ted Mosby on HIMYM, I didn’t know that.

RIP.

Horrible. RIP.
