It’s hard to apportion blame without full information but we certainly seem like a bit if a mess regardless. How do Sanhelli’s and Mislintat’s roles differ anyway?
Means nothing
i cant even see the players even playing for him he was once in their own team, familiarity breeds contempt. I couldnt see them taking to him barking orders at them. It is a huge and unnecessary risk.
Mislintat claimed he picked Emery. if he’s leaving I’d guess it’s a power struggle he’s lost to Sanhelli more than losing one to Emery. Also I have a sneaking feeling that Mislintat wasn’t solely responsible for Dortmund’s recruitment and I get the feeling he rode other scouts coattails.
Also he gets credited for Guenduzzi but this player was scouted by Grimandi in France, so I’m not sure if he gets credit there. He also isn’t actually that good.
Actually, it means a lot. It’s the reason Pep got him there. Honestly, the only thing I question about him is his charisma. Influencing the players was more Pep’s job and what distinguishes the greats from the bunch.
He has resigned because the club apparently has no funds to sign players so really what is the actual point of him being a scout since his recommendations are likely to be ignored due to financial circumstances? Makes sense, he would be far better moving to Bayern who can give him the platform with funds.
This club is a mess, sinking ship.
I do agree. Would have been a fucking disaster.
Having said that, Kicker confirm they have not enquirer about Mislintat.
Tbf, he was a captain here and personally, I found him a much, much better captain than anyone after him.
Granted, I also have the same scepticism as you. Easier said than done.
He’s knows the league is something Paul Merson says when some fancy foreigner gets PL job over Allardyce and Moyes.
He’s knows the league Jeff!! Who’s this foreigner?
Nah that’s a nonsense. We’re signing players in the summer anyway. A scount doesn’t give up their job because of that.
It’s either losing a power struggle or being headhunted by Bayern.
This makes sense to me.
I don’t buy that “power struggle” shit…
In the end Sven’s main job is to find the gems, to recruit players…
You don’t need to buy what he suggest, but you also don’t need to intervene his job, neither to get rid of him.
Absolute bollocks that it is wages that is fucking us if anything because we have huge cash reserves. In the summer we have big deals coming through and a huge amount of players being dumped so if he is leaving over 1 transfer window then good riddance.
Believe it or not, Merson spills some truths in along all those brain farts he has.
We had huge reserve funds since the Wenger days… it means nothing.
Half of the team should be gone before Ozil… and yet, Ozil is the only one that got left out and rumour to be sold.
Do you believe we are really cleaning house and get a huge load of transfer funds?
Well yes i do, because look at it…Cech GONE, elneny GONE, Welbeck GONE as is ramsey and many others and that gives us a huge drop in wages and many spots to fill.
New Emirates Deal which should be around £50m+ a season
Adidas deal £60m
Seems to me that there will be a bit of restructuring done in the summer
We pay less salary if those players gone (Cech confirmed retirement). We are not selling them.
Emiates and Adidas deal add up to a 100m, amound to snatch one or two maximum good players in the market, is that enough? Do we call that a reform/restructuring?
In the end, who says those money will “all” goes to the transfer fund?
This is how I interpret it as well and so hope this is how it plays out. Also, I didn’t know Elneny was leaving. We seem to really want to reshape our midfield squad.
Hardly surprising that this is what it is, but then given that he’s from the Europe school of coaching surely he’s used to working under somebody who decides his transfer business and surely this is something that given the direction we seem headed in, in preparation for Wengers departure was explained would be how it is when he was interviewed.
