Super Mik Arteta

Yep.

This is it. Never in my wildest dreams at the start of this season did I expect we’d be in a title fight in May at the start of this season.

But it does hurt coming so close to these blatant cheats and then missing out.

However this season is not a failure and guys like Gary Neville laughing it up when they had us 6th at the beginning of the season acting like Nostradamus can piss off.

Man United fans… The most moronic as per usual

They’re awful. Like rats in London. Never more than 1 metre away from one of them

Needs a big summer followed by a consistent season that sees us finish much stronger than we have done the last few seasons. A good showing in the cups as well. Otherwise serious questions will need to be asked.

Abysmal game plan today and froze when it was obviously not working. He’s done a great job this season but he’s got a lot to work on imo.

This is his second season of his team falling apart at the end of the season. He’ll get away with it cause he got CL and 2nd in the PL. But this can’t happen again.

Some serious spending needs to be done. Not one or two signings, we need 4 to 5 of top quality if we want to be finishing top 4 no matter winning the PL and fighting across 3 other fronts (I want him to take Cups serious next season). He nees fix that leaky defence.

I’m just not feeling confident we can repeat this season again next if we don’t do some serious spending.

Wonky line up but I can’t get onto him like I did last season. These players are a disgrace.

Jesus, can’t imagine what it’s gonna be like on here next season when we are just top 4 also rans because we’re playing CL and having to use the same 15 players every 3 days.

Mikel out will be trending.

That’s why taking cups seriously next season will probably help him tide things over if it doesn’t go well for him in the league. But that’s what happens when you manage a big club, it’s all about what have you done for us now. WE can’t look back we got to look forward.

The players? Why is he starting Partey at RB? Why are Xhaka and Kiwior standing on top of each other? Why didn’t he change it? These are all fair questions to ask. He fucked up today.

Awful set up and suspect desire from the team today

When going against a team that will park the bus and leave very little space why are you moving Partey to RB, moving White inside to CB and playing Kiwior at LB? We needed width and overlapping, just a foolish set up to drop out of nowhere.

Who’s had more fun watching Arsenal this season than for the last 5-10? I know I have.

Don Emery gave us the EL cup run but aside from that it’s my favourite season since 13/14.

He quite literally did? What do you mean he froze? You watched the whole game. Didn’t you see his subs?

We tried overloading the right side in the first half and it didn’t work. Second half we started going from the left more.

I think he got it wrong too but you can’t say he didn’t try to fix it.

It was a shitty set up period

It’s going to be tough, if his side doesn’t put up a challenge for the league again and his team falters in the end and he doesn’t take the cups serious. I think it could be the beginning of the end for him. Next season, needs to be a statement season. Even if he doesn’t win the league, but winning a cup and at least challenging to the end of the season again (and not faltering like we have this season) and a good run in the CL. I think fans will get him another season and hopefully he can deliver the title.

Yes, the players. This is it, this is our season right here. They went into hiding. Hideous way to fall apart.

Honestly I don’t think we realised just how far away we actually are squad wise. We were probably more correct on that before the season than what we felt in January/February.

If this team was a boxer we would only have 8 rounds in us. Arteta has clearly had huge success earlier in the season from making the team play at maximum intensity and he squeezed every ounce of juice out of them by April. The title was never in us and it has been proven without a doubt.

The minimum objective before the season was improvement and Champions League qualification at least which we achieved.

We have to spend BIG this summer. 200 million on 4/5 players is a MUST just to keep us in the conversation for challenging next season for the WHOLE season. Not just until 30 game weeks.

I enjoyed the ride and entertainment on offer this season. It’s been fun with the mood around the club being mostly positive

Sucks about the title but on to next season

It’s been a very good season but we shouldn’t over celebrate it either. No silverware and how we’ve faltered again for a second season when the tough gets going isn’t acceptable if we consider ourselves a top club. Arteta deserves total backing from everyone for another season and the club have got to show him and fans that we mean business.

I don’t want to see us penny pinching and fans acting like accountants instead of fans (something only happens in ths fanbase). If we have to spend over the limit, go and do it to get what we need.

I have my worries that I don’t think it get better then this but I hope I’m wrong. It really all comes down to how many players we bring in and get rid off in the summer. I can only be really confident in next season come the end of the transfer window.

Let me pose you one question?

Has Arteta managed to get everything out of these players in their current state? Because for me it’s an undeniable yes.

Put any other manager in his position they would be scrapping with the bald guy in Manchester and the barcodes for a Top 4 spot this late into the season.

He got Xhaka playing out of his skin like he’s fucking Guti, he established Saka and Martinelli as some of the best young forwards in the game, Partey actually looked like best pivot in the world for most of the season, Odegaard is putting out ridiculous numbers as an #8.

Our core team is great but our squad is simply lacking. People have been calling for Trossard to play more. He’s absolute dog shite himself the past 2 games. Tierney was a ghost in the last game and he kept fucking it up on his own when he came on today.

Let’s be honest, people want him to tactically flexible when clearly he doesn’t have the tools in the squad to be flexible.
This is a team of 7-8 great players along with another 5-6 ones that are simply good being pushed to the absolute limit to fight for the title, all while their competition is one of the best teams in PL history, and we had injuries pestering us throughout the season.

Subs should have been at halftime.
