Any examples of said vitriol that you think needed policing/moderating? I appreciate it might not be all that easy to produce after all this time, or you might not feel inclined to do so, of course. Though I’d imagine this relates to Covid, so should be concentrated within that particular thread, so maybe not that hard to find.
If you’re offering mildly critical statements about how the forum is run, I’d appreciate having some concrete examples to reflect on so we can do better in future, particularly when the accusation levelled appears to be tantamount to suggesting the staff let bigotry have a free pass on the forum.
He means when people were saying “Fuck China” and “Fuck the CCP” in posts whenever things about Ozil, the Uyghurs, Hong Kong, not cooperating with WHO in regards to Covid etc. came up in threads.
I’m sure he can’t be referring to that, as that’d be like saying it needs policing when someone says “Fuck the Tories/Labour/Republicans/Democrats” - which would be quite ludicrous.
young players will make mistakes though. I remember John Stones getting reamed for doing dumb shit with Everton years ago. He cleaned his game up and is an excellent CB now. The question is whether we have guys who can clean up their game and coaches who can help them do it.
got absolutely schooled today. Biggest loss since he got schooled 5-0 against City in August. Not great, we have Newcastle over next, we need to get our flow back asap so that we can twat United at OT the week after, that’s important.
Well, I think some people will be rubbing their hands feeling “vindicated”.
This was a game for us to make a proper statement. Clearly we aren’t ready to do so and it was a very shitty way to lose but it shouldn’t be a game for the fans to turn on the manager and players again.
We’ve got the youngest manager in the PL and one of the youngest teams in the world. Sometimes shit goes wrong and it’s a perfect storm for the rival to embarrass you likes this. This is the PL, it happens. Onto the next one. COYG!
Agreed, we need to remember that we aren’t at their level and this shouldn’t erase recent progress. It’s still quite alarming how badly we folded though, other sides who aren’t as good as us can give Liverpool a much tougher time at Anfield than that.
