Super Mik Arteta

Yeah that wouldn’t surprise me at all

I don’t see Arteta changing the system for Liverpool given the emphasis he has placed on continuity in selection and tactics recently.

One thing we’ve glimpsed on occasion over the last couple months with the current system is that sometimes when we’re defending deep we’ll switch to playing a five man back line with Saka essentially dropping into a right wing back role and Tomiyasu playing like the right-most of three CBs. I think we could see that happen a bit more when we’re in those situations.

Xhaka could be brought for this and I wouldn’t be bothered.
Save a youngster who might find this a bit too big. Lokonga maybe.
Goes wrong well we just throw him under the bus as his limitation will be exposed no doubt.

One of the lessons Arteta has hopefully learned is winning the battle in CM remains critical, and the idea of loading up with playmakers/forwards while playing Partey as lone CM anchor does not work. If AMN can maintain form and be consistent as a CM there is ok depth I guess, along with Partey and Lokonga, although I still think we should be replacing Xhaka, getting rid of Elneny, and CM overall when players are away at AFCON remains a little concern.

I’ve just had a horrible thought. Are we in danger of becoming a team that hipsters tout themselves as supporters of alongside their favourite midtable Bundesliga sides?

Young players, young manager, playing decent football, unlikely to achieve anything major. I fear we tick the boxes.

No. We win stuff. Sometimes.

So do Ajax and they’re crawling with the fuckers.

We even have their home shirt.

It would take a while I think. That kind of hipster cred takes longer to build. We also need a few more retro adidas reissues to really cement our place in that club. We’ll get there, don’t worry.

We’ve got a young Pep Guardiola with great hair leading a band of loveable wonderkids, this is absolutely going to happen.

We’re the Roma of the pl

I guess he has silenced the critics. This time last year people were calling him a racist Lego Pep dirt pounder on a daily.

Tbf regardless of results a lot of that shit wasn’t right.

The racism shit never sat right and it was a disappointing look for the site.

Why was he called a racist?

Because he sent Guendouzi out on loan and didn’t feature Pepe enough. When you combine that with the fact he replaced them with Aryan Brotherhood looking mother fuckers like Saka, Sambi and Partey people naturally assumed underlying racial connotations.

To be fair, it was only ever a couple of people and it was challenged strongly enough at the time.

Either way it was a bad look and could of had some effect on others joining or some leaving or reducing interest.

I don’t accept it was a bad look for OA as, like I say, it was immediately and sincerely challenged by many, myself included.

Now if you want to say it was a bad look for those spouting that shite, that’s fine and I agree completely.

Tbh that can happen a lot on here. The shocking vitriol directed towards China a couple of years ago was practically unpoliced.
