He was raised there as young player, under their philosophy, of course you could expect he will catch some of their attention. But it doesn’t mean much atm.
I know it’s just words and they mean nothing without being backed up on the pitch, but he comes across as a guy with a real vision and the ability to inspire.
The comment about being ruthless was my favourite bit.
Not expecting miracles today, but hopefully we see a very different performance from an energy and discipline point of view.
So satisfied with the formation & players used. Back to good old Wenger days with 4231 with players at their preferred position bar Saka.
That’s the right way to utilize our midfielders, i.e. Xhaka, Torreira, Ozil, especially Ozil.
probably a long time since I saw some creativity, control & maturity in the midfield.
Now if Hertha could do us massive favour & take Xhaka away so we can have Guendonzi add an extra bit of creativity in our play.
Overall play
Could be an early manager change enthusiasm coupled with wanting to prove themselves to Arteta which was the case last season, so we can’t read too much into it.
However, if that is an early result of education, I am excited & pumped.
There was tons of energy and organized pressing. We hassled them so much in the game & retrieved possession, love it.
Terrible time to make a managerial appointment.
Fixtures left right and centre. No time to train or practice.
Poor squad and players need moving in and out.
Nothing start and nothing result in nothing performance. Nothing to see.
