Super Mik Arteta

I voted 6 (cautiously optimistic). I am more optimistic about Arteta than I was with Emery but that is perhaps because Emery had a track record, a history which Arteta doesn’t have. And then Arteta is just saying all the right things in every interview.

Will surely need at least a few games for anything to materialise on the pitch. We’re in an appalling state off the ball. The extent of those weaknesses will surely be too much for an immediate bounce.

However, absolutely loving the intent and approach outlined so far. Have very high hopes in Arteta‘s leadership taking us forward in the second half of the season.

A solid 7.

I think his lack of experience will lead to some mistakes at some point but not in the short term.

From the sounds of what he’s doing and saying, I think we’ll see a turnaround relatively quickly. He can potentially give these players a methodology to buy into and if they see that it’s working they’ll probably have the confidence to start winning again.

If he can give Saka and Nelson even just 20% of what he supposedly brought to the City wingers I’m excited.

Till you realise who the city wingers are I’m not that excited.
Coaching though of youngsters can only be good for them.
To many youngsters have been promoted on potential for a decade now without it here and bad habits not been addressed.
Bellerin, Ox, Walcott all should of had better attention to detail imparted on to them.

Barcelona bound.

Oh yeah absolutely mate. I’m not for one second claiming we have a Sterling or Sane on our hands. Ironically the point I was trying to make was the one you made regarding proper and critical training and progression of our youth.

The fact he can speak English I gave him an 8 - quietly optimistic that he will transform this rabble into a team.

His PR team are like a combination of Goebells and Saachi and Saachi.
If everything we read about him is true, it’s astonishing we managed to get him before Man U, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus snapped him up.

We got him before because, as you are so eager to tell us, he has not managed a game before.

Oh my god, just get on board!!!

I saw that in the training vid, Laca asked if he could do a flick and Arteta said no! :ozil: :giroud2:

So Steve Round and Albert Stuivenberg - two ex-United assistant managers. The Brentford GK coach (Cana) and Ljungberg look like forming the early part of Arteta’s coaching staff.

Stuivenberg looks like he worked under LVG at United, which is positive as LVG is a managerial great so I am optimistic about that one. Round obviously arrives with a wealth of PL experience and by all accounts Cana is highly rated and Ljungberg had a strong relationship with the youth.

It’ll be interesting to see who else he brings in to help transmit his ideas to the players. I’d hope the board back Arteta in bringing in whoever he needs (providing they’re available to come) because as an inexperienced manager - he needs the support.

Literally teaching the cunts how to play football again based on those tweets (which I wouldn’t be putting huge stock in mind). I’d be so happy not to see a single flick or trick from our players until we are a functional team again. That shit hasn’t had any place in an Arsenal team for many a year at this stage.

Probably up to a 5 now to be fair.

Yeah, was doing to say.

We’ve been banging on about players not knowing the basics for how long and now at long last seems we’ve got a manager in who wants to equip them with the basics first.

About damn time.

I read that as a 6ft 2 defender.

That triangle :giroud2:

A lot of this backroom staff he is looking for, I think he knows from his time coaching in Wales while he was getting his badges.

The City analyst also came up in the Wales FA, and so did the Dutch guy that’s rumoured.
