But you take salah, jota and Diaz out of their lineup while their midfield was off form, then they’d struggle to have anywhere near as many chances too.

Well I agree a bit, but he’s nowhere near his top level we saw in 22/23 and even last year.
He’s trying and his poor shooting is blinding people imo but he’s also got to start doing it himself if others aren’t clicking with what he wants them to do. Plus there’s been enough time to work on that in training.
Step 1 could be to show Lewis-Skelley how not to get his ass red carded out of a game. That seems to be football 101 and he missed thay class.

Mentioned in a couple threads but his decision to take Rice and Calafiori was proved to be bad.
Our right hand side was dead and any threat we had came from the left. Beyond losing creativity we had from the left, having Cala and Rice in the box in those last moments would’ve been handy.

I really don’t see what we are doing with our fullbacks. Sure, the inverted thing would be fine if we actually flooded the midfield and utilised the extra numbers but we often don’t and just end up doing sideways passes at a slow pace which makes it easy for the opposition to defend.
As much as I love Timber, he spends a lot of time being neither here nor there and same sort of deal with Cala a lot of the time.
