The entire FA Cup game was played on a knife edge. Martinelli made a difference for us when he came on. Could (and probably would) have been a different outcome had he started.
Nah come on, Liverpool yes but West Ham was the first game this season we got genuinely outclassed imo.
Then the cunts did it again in the league but I think the cup was the worse of the two from us.

Yes. Trent hitting the woodwork was all down to Trent’s class nearly getting them a goal out of nowhere.
Jota’s header that hit the woodwork looked unalarming at first but then it found its way to the woodwork because of course the jammy cunt would somehow come close to scoring out of nowhere against us.
If we’re talking about clear chances Liverpool didn’t create single one till the very end.
I’ll concede we didn’t play that good against West Ham. I do think we did outplayed them though in the first half. It was all us that half and then those twats scored a corner, and it wasn’t even from one of their players.
I’ll give you West Ham came out pretty fired up in the second half and had a great period for around 15-20 minutes where they managed to have their first shots of the game. Made 3 shots, 2 of them went in.
I do disagree with the notion that we didn’t take the game seriously though as Dave pointed out. Arteta brought Tomiyasu, Saka, Rice, Martinelli, and Odegaard in at 3-0.
Most managers would just accept defeat at that point and call it a day. No reason to risk the players. Instead we tried to save the game. Worth pointing out that backfired because we then lost Odegaard for the next game, which ironically is the controversial one against Newcastle away.

We need more than 11 players. The coach himself has been preaching about it for months now and has directly attributed our bottlejob last season to our lack of depth in the run-in.

Trossard, Jesus and Zinchenko have already been involved in some of our recent thrashings of Palace, West Ham and Sheffield, along with the big win against Liverpool.

When we’re playing midweek in April due to fixture congestion, Arteta ain’t gonna use the same lineup 3 times within 7-8 days.
These guys will get their time out of necessity.
But either way, we’re talking about some of our best players here. Jesus, Partey and Zinchenko have actual experience winning big trophies.
And we know for a fact all 3 of them are monsters in training per their teammates and manager too.

if we can finish the opponents off in first half, sure we can start these 11 and basically they just need 45-60 minutes of work. Then put the subs in.
Well it will hopefully be CL midweek so no games will be easy in any given 7 day period.
Every player in our top 15 has earned their spot already, when we need to rotate we will hopefully have good alternatives for once.
be honest, if we need to get minutes to Cedric to keep in form, for me the reason is Tomi and Zinny are not even close to comeback.
Cedric is more than capable, he gets far too much grief from our fans.
But it would be a concern if we lost white more than it would for many other players atm. Either way if we can keep the current group fit we have a great set of rotation options, even without Zinky and tomiglassu.

ESR and Vieira behind that, by comparison to much of the season that’s a huge fucking luxury for us.
I don’t think anyone is talking about Cedric.
Him and Elneny are fillers. Really, they’re emergency options.
We’re talking about important players like Jesus, Trossard, Zinchenko, Tomiyasu, Partey among others. Even players like ESR, Vieira, Nelson and Nketiah are needed.

First time in a while that our bench looked pretty delicious. Trossard, Jesus, Vieira, Partey all in tow and we didn’t even have Timber, Zinny or Tomi available.
If we don’t let anyone go and can add two to three quality players to that mix, we are going to be right up there in terms of squad strength.
