It’ll be a shame if they get Frank because he’s likeable and a good manager.
Apart from the promoted clubs, next season every other team in the PL finished above them and unless they get relegated, they won’t finish lower, so at least with Frank they’ll be higher.
Straightforward decision for Levy. At this level a total dosser of a coach. Europa League fluke can’t make up for the shitshow that was most of his reign. Look at the quality of coaches around the league, vast majority are miles clear of him.
Trigger happy directors don’t seem to realise that it’s their fault for not hiring decent managers and/or giving their managers the financial backing to match their often unfeasible ambitions.
Banter club. Thomas Frank is a good manager, he needs to avoid joke clubs who don’t give their managers time.
He seemed like a genuinely good lad, and his reaction after their idiot fans celebrating their loss to City endeared me to him. Now he isn’t there anymore I can respect him and wish him well wherever he ends up.
Hopefully whoever they replace him with fails miserably and we have plenty to laugh at next season.
Champions League qualification. They were 5th. Villa had a decent lead but fell apart. Spurs could’ve snatched 4th with a win (final match was Sheffield United who (and everyone did really) they smashed).
Unfortunately, this is the perfect scenario for both parties.
I was hoping they’d give this marriage another go and it would end up in tears by Christmas.
I rate Frank very highly, he is also very likeable so it’s a shame to see him at Spurs.
100%, I guarantee Ange won’t be shedding any tears today with the payoff he’ll have been given and his next job interview he gets to throw the Europa League down on the table. I was really hoping they’d be foolish enough to run it back with him, because the vast majority of the evidence over his two years showed he wasn’t good enough.
