I’d say the women winning a big trophy should in theory inspire the men’s team to go for it.
Lyon won 7 CL titles between 2012-24 and were runner up for 2.
That inspired Lyon’s men team to win zero trophies in that period.
In theory I suppose, but tenuous. I’m not sure there’s much connection of any sort between our men’s and women’s teams.
I’m seeing reports that Spurs are going to sack or have sacked Ange Postecoglou…
Sacking Ange is the right thing to do, the guy has proven himself totally out of his depth in the PL.
But I’m enjoying the teeth gnashing from Spurs fans. I think many of them hate the idea of sacking Ange because it just shows the truth about the situation - they were a shit team with a shit manager who just focused their energies on winning a heavily watered down competition and managed to stumble their way there because United are an even bigger mess.
Thomas Frank would be an excellent appointment. Just needs time to fix the squad
If nothing else it keeps Ange’s second season trophy mantra alive by going somewhere else.
Ange needs to be given more time. He’s my hope in getting them relegated.
Ffs that’s a a real shame, also think it’s a cunty thing to do even if they were shit in the PL.
Why not give him the chance to improve with the CL funds and potential campaign after guiding you to a first trophy in 17 years.
I get it’s the logical thing to do to maximise the fluke of being in the CL but damn. Really hope Frank doesn’t take the offer.
I think it’s harsh. Winning with Spurs is an overachievement.
But I’d take it, I could see him winning more cups. Which would annoy me more. United were a joke but he showed he was willing to do whatever it took to win the final.
watch them go down a place even when the season is over
Stop the season NOW!!!
But they had such a good season
Same reason why ETH was sacked
The correct decision for sure, that gift of a cup run should never have papered over the cracks. Frank will be a much better fit if they get him…
Right call, guy was in totally over his head and just stumbled his way to a trophy.
Going to be funny though when the next few managers all finish somewhere 6-12 but don’t get Ange’s dumb luck in the Europa League and “We should have kept Ange!” becomes a constant refrain from their supporters.
Was so obvious that he was going to go
The relationship with the fans was finished trophy or no trophy
You can’t be having one of the WOAT PL seasons and stay in the job
Annoying because now they’re after Frank who is a good coach
Hopefully they end up with fat frank rather than thomas
Easily argued he deserved it based on the PL season.
But Daniel Levy is a really weird guy that needs some scrutiny. Sacks coaches before cup finals, sacks them after winning a cup. Sacks a coach that had them the closest to a title ( lol ) but had a window they didn’t sign anybody.
What does he want?
