Scum

That isn’t an indirect at us is it? Because that’d be an unfounded accusation.

What the women did this weekend was incredible and emotional, but one club or not, they’re a different team to the men’s.

And for my money, you don’t need to involve the women to make a firm case we’re in a much, much better position than Spurs. They’re going to stick with Postecoglu almost certainly now and that writes off next season in the league IMO.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the Woman’s game in the coming years. I do wonder whether clubs will ever combine the season ticket, so you sign up for both the Men’s and Women’s games. Arsenal are doing something different this year with season ticket renewals so I wouldn’t discount this as a possible option in the future.

I think that’s a terrible idea to be honest.

They are packing in 40/50/60k on the regular. They have their own fanbase and its organic.

I wasn’t suggesting I was in favour but could see a ‘one club’ season ticket being offered in the future. If I have a bit more time next season, I am going to try to get along to some of the Women’s games, and see if I can get a club level ticket and enjoy some hospitality.

Telegraph playing an engagement blinder. They probably got so many sign ups just to read this lol

I’m not annoyed. I can’t be annoyed, it’s a banter competition since the restructuring.
It takes far more skill to reach the ECL semi-finals than it does to win the Europa final against the worst Man Utd team in 50 years.

Neither of my Spurs seem particularly overjoyed with the season. They’re smart enough to know that an ECL place and a Europa winners medal doesn’t paper over the severe cracks in the club.

No, it isn’t. I failed to switch off Twitter in time and saw some horrific comments about women and women’s football. It put me in a foul mood.

@SDGooner - Ian Wright “Hopefully the win (in the WECL) will help the men push on and win it as well”. From the “Seaman Says” podcast.
Wrighty agrees with me and he’s still well connected the club.

It just sounds like wishful thinking and a bit of a platitude, something to say for the sake of saying something. I don’t see how the women’s win will help push the men on to do the same, I assume Wrighty didn’t elaborate on that in any more detail to explain how he hopes it might?

Is it motivation? Are the men gonna see the women win and start to feel more desire to win the league or CL? Or is it tactical? Are they gonna watch the women’s performances, see how they approached matches, and adapt their own approach and tactics accordingly to get over the line?

I don’t really see it.

you can’t call Europa league a second rate or a banter competition and then say WECL (which is several level below the Europa league standard) will motivate the men’s team.

I actually think it’s fair. I have no doubt it hurts the men not winning knowing the women have.
Regarding comparing EL to WECL, apples and oranges.

Perhaps but I am sure they look at their bank balance and all the pussy they get, and move on.

Plus all those consecutive PL trophies won by women never did anything to men’s team

There’s plenty in the women’s team who look at their bank balance and get all the “pussy” they want too.

Not as much as men’s team come on

Arsenal Women’s total wage bill for the 2021-22 season was reported as £4.3 million, spread across both playing and non-playing staff (44 individuals).

The total wage bill for Arsenal men’s team during the 2021-22 season was £212.3 million

Lot more money, lot more pussy.

Men’s team won’t give a single fuck as to what the women’s team is doing.

No, I don’t think that’s true.

They would be supportive and proud of the achievement of their colleagues which is at least two fucks.

But it doesn’t impact on their performance.

Fair

There’s also a fair chance that at least a couple of our men’s team are gay too. They just can’t be open about it for reasons.
