Scum

Exactly, they should’ve given him the same money for new players they gave to Mourinho and Conte.

They still might, although I think Frank might be their next manager.

Take out the word savvy, and that’s what Levy is.

As long as he is the main decision maker, we can sit back and enjoy the spurs circus. :grinning:

Not to call you out brother, but weren’t you the one calling him ambitious? Change of heart?

Levy is not without blame but I find it hard to believe that someone else would have taken over 00s Tottenham and turned them into the consistent force that they have been in the last 10 years.

They were a nothing club with no trophies to show for back in 00s. The only thing they had going for them was being a London club. They are now consistently in talks of the Top 4.

Good chance Tottenham never level up from being more than inconsistent pretenders and certainly wouldn’t have had revenues to justify their stadium.

I think he is ambitious, otherwise he wouldn’t have hired some of the most successful managers in Europe but what he has in ambition, he lacks in competence.

He’s a starfucker, idk if that makes him ambitious.

Who would be that type of process manager like Arteta etc.

What Frank has done at Brentford in 4 years is nothing short of spectacular, he’s basically taken a championship squad with the smallest budget in the league to European football in their second season of PL football (well they might not get 8th but damned close).

I would be a little bit worried that Levy and Co. finally get it into their heads that they need to get a manager with vision and strategy and give him the lenience to get running. There’s a good chance Frank could overhaul Spurs in a significant way.

Going for a manager like Frank is not the spurs way, they’ll probably go for Tuchel and it’ll all end in tears again in 18 months.

As much as I despise spurs, they bought a new stadium, hired the best managers and still spent as much as other big clubs, which is considerably more than we did after we moved to the Emirates.

As I said, Levy might be incompetent, but he certainly doesn’t lack ambition.

No way mate. He ran to Conte after his original hire Nuno he wanted to coast on failed.

Can’t stand the cunt, but on net spend metrics, they are an absolute pauper and have worked wonders tbh. Last analysis I did last summer has them at net spend of 87 million over the past 8 YEARS… that is just over 10 million net spend per year… yes it is influenced by a couple of big sales, but that is part of the game.

That’s puts them at 17th in net spend of the 22-23 teams I analyzed… I used data from transfermkt which may not be perfect, but I trust it enough and know at least it insn’t biased, even if imperfect data.

To further put this in perspective, both Bournemouth and BHA have over DOUBLE the net spend of Spurs over that same period.

Levy deserves credit for what he has done with Tottenham from an off the pitch perspective. There is a very plausible alternative world in which they look like Everton or West Ham right now and instead they’re part of the “Big Six” and getting invited to the Super League.

His meddling in the football side of things, however, has been a major factor preventing them from pushing on and actually winning anything or doing more to cement their current position, despite the good fortune of finding one of the best players in PL history in their youth setup at the same time that they hit on a bunch of other players. How they got from where they were in the summer 0f 2017 to now will long be a case study in the owner absolutely sabotaging the fuck out of a football club.

But Conte was his first choice and then went for Nuno.
So when Nuno was sacked, Levy went back to Conte and made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.

I think he’s an ambitious businessman, hence the Beyonce concert, NFL games, racing in the stadium and etc.

With coaches I think he wanted to be seen as the guy to land a big fish without really understanding who he was hiring. It was all super short term thinking.

4th in points gained is pretty much par for the course for his reign there. I don’t think anyone expected him to work absolute miracles and they were pretty steady for a period picking up 3 points while playing unremarkable stuff. As we saw with Emery however that doesn’t last forever.

That list does however highlight how amazing our form has been since Conte took over.

Underwhelming for them and the expected ending, without the usual success he brings for a season or two. Much to our amusement.

Honestly thought he would of landed a cup. Had some awful campaigns in all trophies.

His record in knockout competitions has never been that great, especially in Europe. You combine that with Spursy and it’s no surprise they’ve done as badly as they have under him. Even his shot at the league title was a non starter when he’s coming into a league with the likes of Pep and Klopp at their peak.

Gone out to Middlesbrough and Sheffield united last two years in the cup.

His European record is poor but the way they managed the FA Cup this year was so odd.
