This is a docmentary video of SRCJJ becoming a fan because of the Invisibles and life afterwards
Any Sopranos reference deserves a like in my book.
@arsenescoatmaker makes some valid points regarding Wenger, he did elevate the club and made us have huge global appeal. I started following us because the first game I watched was the 98 cup final, not sure you can simply put that down to Wenger as lots of battling teams can make a cup final but I suppose it played a part.
He did lose it towards the end though, even when we started spending money we still kept slowly getting worse, so when he left it was well and truly time to go.
Iâve since admitted I was way too hasty on him between 2011-2013 etc with the financial limitations he wasnât doing a bad job.
Still this point stands though, he often lied to the fans saying we could sign top quality players and the ambition was winning the title, when the reality was we saw top quality players depart and often signed average replacements. Wenger cared more about the board and ownership and covering their arse than he did being honest with the fans, understandable as they are the ones that employ him but still annoying for a fan perspective.
As good and as influential as Wenger was, donât forget he took over a team that had been made mostly by Graham and without it, would never have had that initial success.
People seem to forget that Graham won an average of a trophy a season, including two league titles and a European trophy so his record is actually better and he spent less than Wenger.
Wenger might have been our best manager but Graham left us in a lot better state than Wenger did when they left the club.
I think theyâll announce Conte soon because the odds are 1/20 so there must have been some big money put on it for that to happen.
I suppose thatâll show itâs a myth we are unable to lure top managers if we tried, if Spurs can lure Conte then itâs certainly possible.
That only became true because Wenger got those players to get their act together.
Any other manager and you wouldnât be able to praise Graham for that.
If Arsenal hired the right manager, a squad of Aubameyang, Lacazette, Ozil, Ramsey, Monreal, Bellerin, (including enough cash to purchase likes of Torreira, Pepe, Leno etc.) would have been considered a good state.
Frustrating as I thought we were gonna come above spurs next season, but I donât if they get Conte.
Trion dude, like digging that hole for yourself? The fuck I just read.
George Graham left because of accepting a bribe.
He managed till 1995. 1994 he won the Cup. In 1992-1993 he won the Cup Double.
So no, Wenger didnât get anyoneâs act together. Their act was already together. Thanks to George Graham.
Clearly, Wengerites lost all common sense and reasoning.
Are you sure hun??
Yeah hun, otherwise you donât win 3 fucking cups before you leave.
Sorry Trion you overplayed your cards and have been found out. Again
Is the alcoholism of Tony Adams not a public news or does Netherland filter out news
I agree with this
Hold on, Wenger did that too.
Yeah, after going 9 years without one
Oh are you moving the goal post now?
What other criterias are there?
He assembled the best defence in the league which was the same one that Wenger won his first title with, along with Wright upfront and Parlour in midfield.
Apart from Aubameyang and Ozil most of those players are adequate rather than elite.
Also, no club is going to win the PL title with Xhaka, Mustafi and a badly organised defence.
Sorry, this really grates me and Iâm gonna have to put a stop to this.
The plural of criterion is criteria.

He assembled the best defence in the league which was the same one that Wenger won his first title with, along with Wright upfront and Parlour in midfield.
None of that would have mattered if these players continued their lifestyle as they did.
Wenger got their act together to maximise their career.
As I said, If not for Wenger, you wouldnât be able to say
âGeorge left the squad in better shapeâ
If not for Wenger, these players would have won nothing.

The plural of criterion is criteria.
Ah I didnât know that.
