Our squad is becoming erotic, very erotic. Can’t keep my excitement inside for much longer.
I’ll forgive all arteta’s sins If he pulls this off
It’s fine. His son will pay instead. ![]()
The best thing about this window so far are all the non-arsenal fans being so fucking salty on /r/soccer lol
They’re fucking hating that we’re making good moves ![]()
shows that even though they just dont wanna admit it, they are getting really nervous.
Knowing our transfer history, I just hope the signing of Raphina isn’t as a Saka replacement but is to play in the same attacking line up.
So a good window and a new contract offer that reflects his value, should be enough to persuade Saka to stay.
I like to pop over to redcafe now and again just to make sure they’re still miserable as fuck and pissed off that we’re being proactive and they’re not ![]()
Yeah, that would suck but if we have a season of them playing together before hypothetically extracting a large fee from City (because where else is he going?) and use that money wisely, that’s basically the best case scenario if he doesn’t sign.
I don’t think he leaves this summer, especially with a WC in December.
I don’t want Saka to leave. But, moreso, I wouldn’t want a Saka exit to devastate us. Take Saka out of the mix and Jesus, Raphinha, ESR and Martinelli is a brilliant set of side forward options.
Raphinha is as good as Saka in my opinion.
I think it’s close but Saka has a slight edge and Saka has a higher sealing based on age and how rapidly he’s developed already.
All that said, I begrudgingly agree and think unless he signs a renewal this summer he’s as good as gone.
What a loss that would be :laca: absolutely Sakable
for Arteta and Edu. The boy is a star and a club talisman and you let him go!? What a fucking disaster that would be.
I’m still pretty confident Saka extends.
Jesús and Raphinha’s (if we get him) wages are probably pretty relevant to his negotiations though.
I agree. I think Saka is going to stay. He is still very young, he loves Arsenal and has a strong relationship with Arteta. Why wouldn’t he extend his contract? If he was to move, the only two clubs of interest would surely be Liverpool or City, and I’m not sure he would get as much game time at either of those clubs.
It would hurt if Saka left, but getting top dollar for our star player and having a replacement in already probably hasn’t happened since Anelka or Overmars. I think he’ll sign a new deal to be honest.
They can’t force him to sign an extension. My guess is that the club are ready to give him basically whatever he wants. It’s just a question of what he wants.
A five year deal means he can hit free agency at 25, in his prime and secure another enormous contract from City or Newcastle or whoever.
OTOH, he may have his agent telling him “Don’t sign, play another season at Arsenal and then they’ll have to move you. You can go at 21-22 to City, sign a five year deal, win shit and hit free agency at 27.
That sounds like a reasonable scenario but this is Arsenal we’re talking about…
You’d assume the money made from a player sale would be reinvested to improve the team instead of pocketed by the Kroenke. My worry is all this potential spending by the board isn’t to make us competitive but to prepare for the eventual departure of our most valuable asset.
Saka just doesn’t strike me as the guy who wants that shite hanging over him a whole season. I think the extension will be done before he contributes to pre season and ultimately if the trajectory continues clubs will come knocking. Grealish was able to move with a 100m fee hanging over him. If city at some point want Saka and he wants to go they will just invent some new sponsorships and pay up.
With ESR and Martinelli in our ranks. The thought of Saka leaving is bearable provided that we sign Raphinha. If we don’t sign Raphinha or somebody of that level, I’ll be s***ING it.
Singing?
Singing
Shittingggg
Shagging
Not at the same time obviously but you’ll see extreme reactions if we bag Raphinha
He’s clearly standing.
Or sitting.
