I like it.
I like it, but then it will make players choose between club and country. Do we let the clubs who pay the bulk of the wages make the decision? Imagine we have to limit a player to 60/65 appearances but then the national side call them up for a game against San Marino for example.
I presume club commitments will take precedence.
But it’s good to have some sort limit in place. That won’t stop the increasing number of games which as it turns out, there’s nothing we can do about due to the sheer demand of the sport. However, this will allow for more opportunities given to other players.
What’s the wage situation between National team & players?
England players don’t get paid much and what they do get goes to charity so when they get injured playing international football, it’s their club that loses out.
Just scrap international friendlies and pointless qualifying games, it’s not as if many supporters go to them anyway.

This was before VAR, when Man U had the referees on their wage bill.
Possibly the worst goal line decision seen in the PL.
Cancelled
With the last part, he’s not exactly wrong, the difference between the men’s and women’s games at that level is night and day. But it’s not like the commentators who didnt play high-level football have the experience in those situations either.
It’s really just a pointless comment from Keegan overall.
Won’t be long when a good female presenter will come along.
