I think ultimately as one of them says here you can follow the game how you want.
Too much is made of the traditional way of following a club now.
There’s a few general things you owe too yourself but you don’t have to invest everything. Football has become more difficult to follow due to pricing, Availability of tickets, tv times and generally a 24/7 world.

Also to add- the games aren’t necessarily better than those that took place 20 to 30 odd years ago.
The “armchair” American soccer fan who decided to take on a love for the sport post-1994 World Cup was arguably spoilt. We’re left with the embers of that fire now.

Hahah, Madridistas are absolutely fuming. He snubbed some others as well from Madrid which didn’t go down well. Tbf to him, he really didn’t hang out with the rest of lads. It was well known he never bothered making friends or speaking in Spanish.
I can see him thinking some of his teammates were the ones leaking shit about him. Apparently Modric was the only one he used to chat to.
Despite all that, the guy has managed to create history with Madrid and has etched his name in CL history.
