To be fair to Richie that was a huge deal in Ireland.

Everton only finished in the top 6 four times in the Cahill years? I don’t know why but I thought it’d be more.

Yesterday, Real knock Athletic Bilbao out of the supercopa and grandpa Carlo trolls Modric after he gets the motm award: “you missed a pass tho, and one over there?” Modric: “three in the 2nd half, that’s it?”

Modric is in insane form rn which is cool to see, feet quicker than cobras at the age of 36 :pires2:

Grandpa Ancelotti looks like he’s in his element haha.

Looks like Perez was shrewd in bringing him back. He’s getting the best out of a players young and old and the players obviously respect him.

Madrid are in good shape to rack up some La Liga titles tbf. They waited out Barcelona’s prime years. Don’t think they expected this to happen but I imagine they ain’t complaining.

The biggest disappointment here is Atleti actually. Won La Liga and had a perceived very good window at the time. They shit the bed big time.

It’s hard to make sense of them, defensive side just has fallen apart. Already (League) conceded 24 goals in 20 games. Their last seasons goals conceded was 25, 27, 29, 22, 27.

They’ve always won on narrow scorelines but now those wins are draws and losses.

It’s just gone to shit really, and this started in midway through last season. They had no business sweating for La Liga in the last fixtures but they somehow did.
We kind of excused that, perhaps with the pressure of not winning it for some time.
They go on to sign RdP, Cunha and bring Griezy back too. They also kept Trippier.
And they somehow became worse.

Love Cholo to bits but some questions need to be raised. Interesting to see how they fair in the UCL now. Are they gonna bend over for Ronaldo again?

This is where I feel Arsenal needs to work on.
Real always gives players hopes that they can win something(easy to do so in 2 way league) and thereby are extra motivated to play well regardless of their age.

Real had Modric who in his mid-thirties had won everything, won Ballon Dor. Modric could have easily relaxed the rest of his contract terms but he kept on.
While we have Per who lost motivation after winning WC, Auba who granted had a tough 2021 is not aiming to better himself.

We will not have 30-year-olds motivated to get 4th place.

Madrid and Bayern are the two clubs that have these 30+ guys still going on strong. Probably worth checking out what they’re doing.

Crossbar and offside, but man that was a sweet strike

You can tell by the spin, that Fekir caught it with the outside of his laces. The the there’s the dip on the volley. So good.

He wouldn’t have taken that shot if he didn’t know he was offside.
Pretty sure even he was surprised.

Think it’s the fact that they are 4 nil up
