Phil Chisnall died this week. First player to kick a ball on match of the day.
Amazing
Filth. The reaction of the crowd says it all
What a hit son, what a hit!
Scored against us in the 93 League cup final. Became the first American to score at wembley.
Pulisic the second?
Yeah well in major finals at least. Both had the good grace to lose though.
Diego Maradona and George Best both died on the 25th November
Don Revie died the day we won the league at Anfield in 89
Guess I get to see him play post Covid
Very American. They used to have this in MLS up until the 90’s.
Yeah it was always talked about and pushed by Jimmy Hill a leading tv pundit in the 70s over here.
Actually seems very interesting. Involves much more skill obviously than plain penalty kicks, seems like a more fair judge of who is better after a draw.
Penalty kicks just seem like a coin toss to me nowadays tbh.
Also think in a few cases the team with more technical players would hold an advantage. Personally I liked golden goal extra time but this would be a more interesting concept to pens.
I like the suspense involved during a penalty shootout, however unfair it may be.
Ignoring the miss (if you can) wasn’t this guy a bit of cult hero for west ham?
West Ham have plenty of cunt heroes.
