Great to see Henry still on such a list, he played significantly fewer games than others on that list, on a goal contribution per game basis he’s beating Eto’o, Aguero, Rooney and Noncezema.

I’ve only ever heard good things about what an absolute beast of a defender he was. His name isn’t often spoken about these days, naturally due to time that’s passed (and the fact 1980s Argentina is basically Maradona and the rest) but he’s the kind of defender is loved to have seen play live.

Great reader and leader and stood comparison with the greats in Italian football when they lead the world in defending.
Honestly put him in any of the Messi Argentina world cup teams they’d have won a world cup.
Those teams have had talent but been erratic. He’d of organised that in training and managed on field tactics.
Not really thing I know but he’s the best captain of all time for me.

Guess it’s also important to note that the Argentina team hasn’t produced a great defender since probably the generation of Ayala, Walter Samuel and Zanetti.
And even midfielders, they’ve been lax since the likes of Riquelme, Aimar and Cambiasso

His United bias was sickening at times but that is surprising he’s been let go 
I’m sure it was Clive that would always crowbar in a united reference, no matter who it was playing while he was commentating.
Was it him and Townsend we would always have for our games back in the itv4 days?
Wasn’t always the best commentator but his voice is iconic. He’s up there with Peter Drury and Barry Davies for me.

This seems like a bad idea to me. Going to favour teams who can afford to assemble expensive teams and will likely lead to much more time wasted through substitutions.
