I think we need to accept that neither are good options for us…we need strength and depth in the squad and both fall below the level we now require.

Sterling was a classic last minute panic signing imo. Hence we need to do our business early if we are to avoid another Sterling this summer.

Getting Sterling rather than a proper striker cost Arteta the league.
Whoever made that decision should not be allowed anywhere near this transfer window.
Mikel worked closely with Sterling at City, and got the best out of him. I have to imagine he thought he could extract something from him this past season and hence the move. Clearly he was nothing like the player Mikel saw at City…Mikel must have realised this as soon as he arrived, because with players like Havertz, he persisted with even whilst not showing much initially, Sterling was binned off instantly

Nelson would’ve been injured and unavailable for most of the season so it would’ve been just the same issue if not worse.
At least raheem was an experienced body on the bench, luckily we didn’t really need to use him thanks to Ethan.
Shows what a pathetic attitude he has though, had a chance to make himself a name again and couldn’t even break into our disrupted front line all season. When he did play he was shite, one of his best games was when he got subbed after 30 mins against Bournemouth.

Nelson would have been injured/unavailable for most of the season, but still would have bettered that.
The game has left him a while ago, happens to all these explosive players at some point especially before they hit 30

In the 28/29 season of my EA FC manager mode, he is about to retire and commentator is talking about how he’s going out while he’s still in good form. Just shows how unrealistic this game is.
