PL Title Race 24/25

I have calmed down a bit from yesterday now. I believe the title will be hard but not impossible. We need to go on a run and lets see where we are on New Year’s Day.

Gary Neville I wasn’t familiar with your game

Tbf Gary backed us last season too

His argument shouldn’t be “you can’t change your mind after 10 games”

Of course you can. We didn’t know what’s Arne Slot’s all about. We don’t know how new transfers will take the league. We don’t know about the injuries.

At start of the season, people didn’t know City would lose Rodri and we don’t know now if Salah gets injured in coming weeks.

Gary’s argument should have been the fixture list. Our 9 points gap is compensated by our schedule and we can climb that.

Lol, Gary’s desire to be different and stand out has led to him vehemently backing his most hated club for the title in back to back seasons :rofl:

Neville is definitely stubborn but his argument really was that Arsenal are a better team than Liverpool, which Carragher not only didn’t bother debating but when Gary actually asked him whether Liverpool are better, he said no.

27 games left is quite lot, especially if you put into context the fixtures played, so in an astounding turn of events, Neville seems like the sane one in this.

Carragher is obviously insanely biased there, those are absolute nonsense responses to Neville.

He could make decent points for Liverpool, and against us, but he’s too rattled to do so.

I mean he probably hates Liverpool more than Arsenal.

Or he’s a massive jinxer. But I can’t imagine he would want to see Liverpool win another PL title and would maybe prefer Arsenal.

gap down to 7 points now

Hard to deny Chelsea being a part of this now, particularly when you look at their run of fixtures til the end of Jan.

Spurs away this weekend then everything is winnable.

Chelsea are in it right now but I don’t see them being it in till the end, still think it’s between us, Liverpool and City

Agree but until 25th Jan I could see them taking almost maximum points and being the closest to Liverpool. We’ve already seen what a favourable set of fixtures and a bit of confidence can do.

They could fall away with their run of games that following month though. I know it’s never so straightforward but they are actually looking good.

yeah just seen the fixtures, good run of games for them tbf

Liverpool dropping points in the first game of their tricky set of fixtures and us taking advantage of it is exactly what we needed. If Everton can take some confidence from the hammering they gave to Wolves and Spurs can be their game raising selves against better oppositions, Liverpool might drop another couple of points.

We have Fulham away which has not been a good fixture for us in the past. It’s only round 15 of the season and every game is already a must win.

Injuries will play a major role in determining the eventual champions. We’ve had quite a few already. Let’s hope our luck turns in the new year.

the old Arsenal boys will want to play well vs us

Everton flying high after a 4-0 win is the exact recipe we needed before the Merseyside derby.

Everton will get pumped as usual

It’s done now
