Our Upcoming Fixtures

I’d have liked HofA to expand a bit on “exceptional” re. Jesus.

Just seen we’ve got Villa twice in December, odd one that.

Potentially two very difficult matches!

No potentially about it mate, both games will be tough

Villa aren’t that good we just hype them up because of some poor results in recent years.

Throwing away that 2-0 lead last season when they showed no threat whatsoever, very poor. Would expect a win at home and a draw away at minimum.

Same for everyone btw as the calendar flips - city have Sunderland twice in the same period for example.

Villa have been good recently. Perfect time for them to start to fuck it and struggle again

Double Aston Villa :joy:

It’s important we have full rotation for the Brugge fixture to give the players a full week off before the next game.

With Odegaard, Jesus, Madueke, Martinelli and Gyokeres all back from injuries we’ve got plenty of players to rotate through and hopefully not run the players into the ground.

Looks like we are managing minutes more carefully this season. Only issue for me is what game can we give our midfield some rest in because we feel a bit light there if either Zubimendi or Rice are out.

I think you rest rice against Brugge and Zubi against wolves so they both get a game off.

Don’t trust a Norgaard and merino tandem for either of those games tbh. Nor an Odegaard, Norgaard, Eze setup.

Maybe it’s where MLS comes to the rescue and allows us to rest both vs Brugge by starting in midfield.

I’d only trust it against lower league opposition early in a domestic cup lol

Portsmouth away in the cup

That’s a fun draw!

My step dad is a Pompey fan, maybe I should try n get a ticket and pop over on the ferry to see him and me mum on the Isle of Wight while I’m down there.

Following our win last night, Arsenal have confirmed that our away fixture against Wolves will take place on Wednesday, February 18, at 8pm. Our February fixtures look like this now…

  • Saturday 7th February - Arsenal vs Sunderland
  • Thursday 12th February - Brentford vs Arsenal
  • Sunday 15th February - Arsenal vs Wigan (FA Cup)
  • Wednesday 18th February - Wolves vs Arsenal
  • Sunday 22nd February - Spurs vs Arsenal

Well you’ve just absolutely ruined my above post :joy:

Sorry! I said sorry! It wasn’t my intention :grinning:

Wonder if the city game will move to the same timeslot. If not another three points of a lead might be useful.

A very good point! That could be massive for us if we win. I just want us to win at the weekend and for City to drop points against Liverpool. I think that could be a determinative result for the title this season.
