Calvin Lewert had promising numbers for Everton last season too.

Could end up being a very good midfield and attack combo.

I don’t think they’ve signed any of them?

Bet he’s holding out for Bayern FC.

Van de Beek is extremely close I’m just considering that done

Everton should be competitive this year but its also completely typical that they just blew a ton of money/wages on three midfielders aged 29 (James), 29 (Allan), and 27 (Doucore).

Players in their prime who could elevate them to their next level. Doesn’t seem that stupid to me. Especially since they have the cash.

Good summer for Everton if all 3 go through, it would give them a better midfield than us. The goals from Auba are probably the only thing that’ll keep us above them.

Everton can try to not be Everton all they like but they are still Everton.

Richarlison and DLC have enough goals in them to match Auba to be honest, and we haven’t got goals coming from anywhere else loI

DLC and Richarlison have each got 13 goals but only 4 assists in total between them, last season.

Yeah that’s true, I’m hoping Pepe hits double figures in the league this season though as I think he’s capable.

I see our squad on par with Leicester, Spurs, wolves, and Everton at moment.

Yeah we need Auba and Pepe both to hit significant double figures because otherwise we’re in trouble.

I edited my last post to add that Richarlison and DCL both scored 13 goals each last season.

Only just found out about James in Everton…
Ffs finally they used their money on some true quality that can make the difference. Basically immediately brings them to another level alone if he can just stay in decent physical shape. I’m actually curious about the next Everton game, might actually watch it… can’t remember the last time I felt like that about f***** Everton.

Allan, a very good deal I think too. Always was a big fan of him, haven’t seen much of him in the last couple of years, but if he still has his usual engine he could be a very good signing too. Roughly similar to Doucoure but imo a much better player.

Sounds pretty legit to be honest.

From what I can understand from Everton fans it sounds like Ancelotti wants to play his standard 4-4-2 diamond formation. It didn’t work this season because he didn’t have the right personnel, but now he’s signed two runners and a creative passer to support Gomes in midfield who’s already a good passer with good vision.

So it sounds like James, Gomes, Allan and Doucoure in a midfield diamond with Richarlison and DCL up front which actually sounds really promising.

They’ve got pretty good fullbacks too, although I don’t know anything about their centre-backs.

I really hope they kick on, I’ve always liked Everton. Nice club with lots of history, very likeable.

It’s the idea of Everton that I like

It’s like how I don’t mind Man City compared to Chelsea, Liverpool and United.

We’ll finish above Everton because this is Arteta’s world and Ancelotti’s just living in it.

Everton spend like a top 4 team but keep finishing 10th and shit.
