was always super underrated, as was Wenger in his later years.
It’s no coincidence he was pivotal in our best goals of the past 5 years.

Ooooooooo MATRON
No. He left two seasons to late. He started this decline.
Mustafi, Xhaka.
Why do u act like this is Wenger when it wasn’t. Also Xhaka wasn’t him either tbh.
Was Lacazette, Wenger’s purchase?
John Hartson would of been decent under Graham.
Wenger was right to let him go but he was capable of big numbers him.
I don’t know about Xhaka but as I recall back in 2016/17 Wenger wasn’t too keen with Mustafi. Fans were questioning why Wenger were not playing him enough and thinking of getting rid of him when Inter Milan came calling.
We can sometime tell who is Wenger’s favourite. Look at Park. Literally gave the guy no chance and ruined his confidence. Mustafi was never his choice.
There was a very open process about our purchases prior to about 2014. Our scouts would spend a ton of time watching guys and would then show Wenger a huge dossier on a player they wanted to recommend. Wenger would look closely at their strengths and weaknesses and then ultimately decide on the player. Post 2014, starting in January 2015 when we bought Gabriel Paulista, that entire process changed. Before our process was well documented, after 2015 there’s not really any answers to how Arsenal purchased players. So I couldn’t tell you.
What I will tell u tho is that Arsene had Laca playing about as well as anyone possibly could. I was talking shit on Laca after the first or second game I saw him play, and Arsene had him playing so well he almost made me look stupid. I think he has 14 goals and 10 assists in his first season, which is pretty damn good. Its not 50m CF good, but it was a decent return.
Soccer is in the toilet.
Its spelt TOLT
Thanks Pheebs. I’d say it was hard taking such an unpopular stand against Hazard but I think we all knew deep down he was a fraud.
Also fuck Giroud. If he wasn’t completely useless we would have won the title of Leicester.
I don’t miss him, but I never had anything against him as a B option, a very good one. You can’t get nothing with 11 players, I’m a fan of (reasonable) rotation.
And that’s what he is at Chelsea basically and he’s doing his job. When you play to his strengths he’ll will usually do the job. The problem was Wenger acted as if he was a complete forward and played him no matter what was around him.
I totally forgot about Hartson. He was better than Giroud.
Another reason why we should look to the lower leagues if we’re going to continue to buy for cheap. We should be able to unearth a gem
The best Carry on .
I give you bloody chippingsssss
Stupid what?
I wasn’t talking about players who are better than Giroud. I said Giroud was the most under rated, not that he is better than other any forward player. And I didn’t just mean Arsenal players. I meant any striker of the current generation. Of which Hartson isn’t one
Is he underrated though ? Most fans think he’d be a really good plan B for a good side.
He scored 105 in 250 for Arsenal as a plan A, getting fed by Cazorla, Ozil, Sanchez and Ramsey.
I think my favourite gag is from Carry on Matron where those crooks get a member of their gang to dress up as a nurse and share a room with Barbara Windsor.
There’s a bit in there where one of the crooks says “I was born on a bus”. The next 5 mins are side splittingly funny.
Can’t find it anywhere on YouTube!
He’s under rated in the sense that fans didn’t rate him, so yes. They didn’t want him here. He was rarely appreciated here. And he doesn’t seem to be all that appreciated at Chelsea either - given he is their third choice striker. He still gets called a lump and waste of space (that Monaco game gets brought up a lot). He didn’t score at the World Cup so was abused and ridiculed for that as well.
But we can rewrite history if you like and pretend everyone always rated him.
