Nwaneri is the good backup for Saka.
No need to spend 50m on someone that will sit on the bench a lot, and not bringing qualities that could really upgrade us.
I was shitting on Madueke long before we were linked with him.
However, my issue was people trying to big him up like he was anywhere near Bukayo. I will never forget that prick Adrian Durham making a case for him to start o er Bukayo for England. Madness.
Despite all thar, I’ve always thought he was a great at taking on players, all the way back to his PSV days.
I thought he’d flop at Chelsea because he was injury prone but his fitness has proved to be just fine at Chelsea. His end product is hit and miss though.
Honestly, I think he’s Chelsea’s best forward, although that doesn’t say much because I think they’re not exactly stacked with top forwards at the minute.
Also, I think he’s one of their few forwards that really clicked with Palmer. If I were them I’d look to build on that but it’s clear that Chelsea’s model has other priorities.
I’m okay with this move as long as we bring another player that can play out wide like Eze.

Tbh I don’t really care if fans want to say they don’t want a player or they want to make sure the club don’t sign them. It’s part of the overall game. We’re talking about working-class folks here criticising multimillionaires. Give me that over working a 9 to 5 any day.
Threatening violence is objectively wrong but it would be if done by a normal person to another normal person anyway.
The whole celebrities are humans too is garbage. Same with celebs who whine about paparazzi. Give back the money and the lifestyle if you don’t like it. Otherwise accept reality. Normal people don’t get hassled in public but normal people also go to work at real jobs instead of kicking around a ball or pretending they’re a superhero or whatever.

Ah man. I hope all of us are wrong but it does hurt right now to see us blow a big chunk of our kitty on this signing. All that anticipation this summer, if someone told me we’d be signing Madueke, Norgaard and Kepa I think I would have gagged and laughed.
