Once again:
The move is not expected to end Arsenal’s interest in Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze.
This is the exact point, I think it makes perfect sense that they’re looking at him as a backup to Saka on the right, something we’ve been screaming that we need for two years at least. On that basis the signing is fine because you’re never going to be signing a world class player to sit on the bench part of the time, but if it stops us from getting an Eze or Rodrygo type signing that’s a major issue.
I still think our squad are good enough with a top class striker and a quality left winger, I’ll go with the flow with the rest.
So far only Liverpool are winning the transfer window, looking at Chelsea and Man City with their new signings there’s nothing to worry about even if we sign Noni.
I don’t understand the theory how it’s helping Chelsea out either it’s not like they are poor or anything. I’ll pass judgement until everything else is done and dusted.

If that’s really the case then why would anyone buy from Chelsea, all football teams to balance their books.
With the amount of money spent on players in relation to the money made from player sales is ridiculous from an Arsenal point of view. I just hope other teams don’t view us in the same way when we sell players.

Another way to look at it is us taking advantage of a bad situation they created there by signing the same guy that’s already covering Saka for England for a cut price.
If we can sign him for about £40m I’d be ok with it.
If this blocks another forward signing or means Nwaneri goes that’s another matter, I wouldn’t be happy about it, but there has been nothing concrete to suggest that.
There is still confidence that Nwaneri will be renewed and at the very least Eze seems to be a separate case we’re still working on.

Im probably wrong but I’m sceptical about the whole thing as I am about Rodrygo.
Both players are at this money cup thing, I can’t see anything being dealt with while they are over there and as soon as the games are over both of them need a break.
So I’d rather believe any links relating to Eze ,especially as it would make much more sense.
Edit: seeing as it took me longer to type than this update I’m even more baffled about the ins and outs of a football club

The only way this is palatable is if we get all of Gyokeres, Eze and Rodrygo.. and we know that ain’t happening.
They’re just incompetent when it comes to strikers, that’s the only logical reasoning I can come to.

If they can blow £115ms on Havertz and Madueke; then they better bring the entire cavalry to make up for that shite.
They must have £350m ready to spend this summer if they can waste so much on tripe.
Either they bring in the WC players this window that everybody on planet earth knows we need; or they can get out.
They’re really starting to take the piss now with how they’ve handled this forward line.
Just hope this is a smokescreen to bring the Eze price down, because he looks like a pretty shite player.

Havertz is our top goalscorer since arriving btw, and that’s with playing as a midfielder/second striker half the time and missing nearly half a season.
If we’re gonna shit on Havertz then half our team must be shit for being outperformed by him.

Yeah I’m not blaming Havertz btw, Arteta’s at fault for bringing him and all these Chelsea rejects here in the first place..
It’s one thing to buy them, it’s another to pay top dollar for them - when players of much higher quality are available.
