No, the issue with Rodrygo is he’s been inconsistent for the majority of his time at Madrid.
He had a hot spell in December and January but since March onwards he’s been consistently useless, whether he played left, right or centre.
Definitely not worth the money Real allegedly want.
In an ideal world people might realize that even if we don’t love the player, we probably shouldn’t start an entire PR campaign against him and risk messing with his confidence as he joins. Just ridiculous and over the top. Relax people.

Madueke for 50m (partly add ons) is not a bad price at all in the abstract and if his wage demands are as low as reported its really not a bad deal financially. He’s a good dynamic right winger, young, has very good advanced stats, and possibly room to improve.
That’s not bad company.
But if he’s viewed as the primary new solution on the LW, I’m all the way out. We need a true game changer and level raiser on the left hand side.
