What if Eze (I donāt buy the Rodrygo-link) was a smokescreen for Madueke? That would mean a huge meltdown lol.

I believe Chelsea are trying to hijack this deal but not in the usual way. Theyāll probably offer him a 25 year contract and heāll end up on loan to us in 2026.
Seems to be zero credible competition for his signature, so we really should be holding all the cards here, and should walk away unless the fee is on our terms.
I mean, Iād prefer we walk away regardless of the fee, and sign someone else, but it is what it is.

I feel like the panic for most people hasnt set in because they think this is just a back up and weāre going to sign Eze, Rodrygo and Gyokeres.

If weāre giving over Ā£50m to another London club, Iād much prefer it went to a nicer club with supporters who arenāt all tossers, like Crystal Palace.

For a second I thought my three year old got his hands on my phone.
If signing Madueke means we donāt sign Eze/Rodrygo then I will be extremely dissapointed.
If it means Ethanās development is halted in any way then expect cult of personality. Iām out.
I guarantee if this happens there will be fans massively coping, pulling out hypothetical stats or mentioning intangibles that Madueke will bring to the team.
