Nico Williams

If take Williams but don’t see him as a bar raiser. He’s a better footballer than Martinelli (not Trossard) and more direct than Trossard, but our forwards are more likely to score.

I’m not sure he comes to the Premier League and scores 10-15 goals and that is what we need.

You honestly think that Williams isn’t as good as trossard? If that is the case there is no point in even looking at him.

His point might be that Trossard is better technically maybe, which I can see.

Thank you. I’m not sure how the original post got misconstrued so badly.

Wages are a problem

well here’s hoping we have other targets.

Any of our scrubs willing to take a pay cut to fund the move?

You say that, but Nico Williams isn’t exactly lighting up La Liga

The lad really hasn’t proven anything to warrant being given a humongous paycheck.

That was my original point last night. Think he only has 4 GAs or something

anyone looking at the mirror as a legit source needs a slap anyways, wouldn’t wipe my ass with that newspaper.

He’s on a comfortable wage at a comfortable club for him and if the message in the summer was true then you’d have to assume Barcelona is his dream move.

So if he’s on £170k a week at Bilbao then it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s demanding a fair amount more to make a move he didn’t initially have as his first choice.

The reputation of the PL being the financial juggernaut probably also means he’s going to want as big a piece of that pie as possible.

His wage demands are £300k a week here, but probably cheaper in Barcelona

Yeah give a guy that sort of money whilst he has his heart in barca for him to play like a wretched turd to try and force a move there in a couple of years…no thanks.

Has this guy done much other than have a decent Euros?

He’s been one of the promising youngsters in La Liga for a while now.
Last season was his best to date and I think a lot of people were expecting him to blow up this season, but Euros did happen, so that happened earlier, or so we thought.

Bilbao are doing well but it’s true his numbers don’t look particularly good this season. Haven’t had too many chances to watch him myself. In two matches I watched this season he wasn’t even on for a single half.

If he really is demanding £300k regardless of performances, then I’m happy for us to move on.

I appreciate that it’s probably asking too much all the time but I want our incoming players to want to play for Arsenal. If he’s picking clubs based purely on wages then, no thanks.

If he he’s really after that then he can have it elsewhere :+1:

He’s a talent but no way he should be demanding that kind of money considering his record and production so far. He should be happy he’s already on those wages.

He thinks he’s prime Neymar :xhaka:

Saka isn’t even on that kind of money (yet) and he’s levels above Williams.

What are Saka’s wages now btw? Not that I care, just for comparison… I tough he was supposed to be on something around those 300k with the latest renewal?

I see this page with our players wages, Saka on 195k per week, surely not updated or what?
Havertz on 280k?? How did he pull off that contract??
Jesus 265k??
