Different player to the one at the euros last year
Williams had looked the part in the Spain setup but the times Iāve seen him play for Athletic heās been so bad. Hasnāt justified the hype.

Nico had a pretty ordinary last season with Bilbao so I was never too keen on him. Just the Euros and a few other games with Spain where he looked special. Perhaps he needs better players around him but that wouldnāt explain signing a long term contract with Bilbao.
Anyway, I think Madueke will do a better job than Nico would have for us.

Great goal, I know he signed that ridiculous deal but surely he doesnāt actually stay there his whole career.
Would keep him on our radar personally.

The guy has (checks wiki) 17 league goals in 5 seasons at Athletic, he would get slaughtered by our fans for his lack of end product I suspect.

He would cost close to 100m and is inconsistent so unless we want to waste that sort of money, like Liverpool did on Wirtz, it might be better to look elsewhere.

Compare to Sesko, Ekitike, Wirtz, Isak, 100m seems a fair market value for Nico.

For that sort of money, itās got Chelsea or Man U written all over it. 
Itās no secret Iām a huge fan of his but I do agree with the inconsistent tag.
Great goal the other day of course but thatās another underwhelming start of the season for him like last season.
I was expecting him to blow up last season, and that was even before being the breakout star of the Euros, and he hasnāt.
Needs to start being more decisive at club level now.
He does play for pretty average team to be fair.
I have not seen him score a goal that others created for him. It has mostly been him conjuring something out of nothing.

Our newly bolstered scouting team will be looking at younger prospects for the future in a number of positions, left wing probably being the no.1 priority, then striker. I trust them to find a gem whoās gone under the radar so far. Williams and LeĆ£o arenāt hard working enough for Arteta-ball.
Heās another average āmomentsā player. Not worth the outlay.
