Sure, I’d say 150-200k for Nico and 200-250k for Rodrygo makes more sense.
Surprisingly, I don’t think we’ve got anyone on over 300k pw, I think once we hand one of our current players such a contract that it will kickstart a chain reaction of other key players asking the same.
Think the first one has to be Saka.
Bayern is such an ideal transfer for a player who has gotten a big name from a tournament but about whom there are question marks. He can absolutely coast to success there and the club will carry him to domestic trophies.
Fluid concrete it would seem, not the quick setting stuff then. But then if you’re paying €3m a month for a star player (including amortisation of the initial fees), cost cuttings are clearly going to be needed.
Anyway, he’ll change his mind the moment he sees the kit.
I have to say, am not too bothered by him going to Bayern cause he hasn’t really gone to the next level after his performances in the Euros. What is slightly bothering is seeing other clubs, especially Chelsea, City and Liverpool make moves in the market while we take our time (for whatever reason).
Still a long way to go but the longer it takes, the more the chances of something going wrong.
Happy with kepa and Zubi but seriously worried now about our attacking reinforcements.
Always felt we had options but that is dwindling. Rodrygo highly unlikely. Nico to Bayern. What does that leave us. Lookman? Semenyo? Couple that with a young striker coming in. Another season without properly addressing our inadequate attack. Hope I am wrong but the writing is on the wall.
