Tbf we have a long interest in him, basically just like with Sesko. No one should be surprised if that’s true.
Woukd be very happy if we could get him. Having such a great athlete, a great ball carrier who always goes one on one, draws players to himself, with good link up etc. even if he doesn’t go past them every time, on the other side to Saka, would be massive for our attack.
Fixing a broken attack by bringing in two unproven (although talented), young forwards from other leagues seems a recipe for disaster.

Does feel like if we sign a left winger it’s gonna be either him or Rodrygo. Gordon is the other name but Newcastle don’t want to sell it seems. I do wonder if we’ve looked at Barcola.
Haven’t seen any links to him but feel like there’s an opportunity for teams to get in his ear ahead of the World Cup next year.
Gordon would be great here, he’s got a good mentality and is proven in the PL, so won’t need to adjust to the league like Sesko, Zubimendi and any of the wingers we’re looking at.

I can’t remember the last time Arsenal signed a player I really hated as much as I dislike Gordon and his shit Princess Di hairdo.
I mean, I hated Sol Campbell until he fucked Spurs over and joined us on a free. But it’s hard to carry on disliking anyone who causes those twats to lose their shit. And he was a brilliant replacement for Tony Adams.
Leaving aside his haircut, because I agree this is obviously a key factor in any transfer, I agree with @InvincibleDB10 and @Jules that Gordon would be an excellent signing. However, I can’t see it happening somehow, as I think he is probably 3rd in our list of preferences for a LW, behind Rodrygo and Williams, plus Newcastle would demand silly money for Gordon. If he was around the £50m mark, I think he would be good value, but I can see them demanding much more.

I’m absolutely happy with either Nico or Rodrygo, that’s the calibre we should be aiming for atm.
I just hope we aren’t wasting time with Williams if he’s still aiming for that Barca move.
On the other hand, Mastantuono going to Madrid could open our way to Rodrygo even further.
