Next manager

There’s a certain logic to that. Problem for me is they’ll be other clubs looking then. Also our stock just continually falls. It’s years now since we’ve been a big hitter. Not wanting dossiers put together now and meetings in May.
I’m wanting behind the scenes soundings done now and weekly meetings.
I fear though we’ll drag our feet and miss the boat again.

Leicester had won the prem and he would have the assurance that he would get full backing. But I do think your right about being open for RM or Barca. But us, not convince

There’s always other clubs looking but by the start of the new season a new manager would have a clear run at the prem not a takeover from another failed manager.

This is the key thing for me. Every year we miss out on a champions league slot a little bit of our status as an elite club is etched away. We haven’t recently just fallen out of the CL and become less competitive, we haven’t seriously challenged for a title in 12 years, and when were in the CL we hadn’t got past the last 16 since 2009!

Delaying until the summer would be OK if this was 2015/16 but at this point it’s not. A new manager especially a foreign one will need to learn the language if they don’t know it already, will need to know the league, will need to know the squad and it’s short comings and what positions need strengthening which really can’t be done until at least mid way through his first season. Which means we run the risk of not qualifying for CL football again next season until the new manager gets his bearings.

No I say pay the money now even if it’s over the odds, get a top manager in, and even if the season is a write off let it be with the new manager so he can go into the summer transfer window Knowing exactly who we need to move on, who need to bring in and how we need to be setup that way he hit the ground running next season!

@AbouCuellar tell us how Arsenal are viewed now in Spain and how lucrative it would be now for the biggest managers now in your opinion.

Of course it could have the opposit effect and have a manager who is worried about how he will handle the prem much like Emery.
A top manager would come in and know what he wants and that’s why he a top manager he would be around the prem games viewing well before he decided to take the job.

Somethings are not evident until your on the ground in the fray. It took Pep a whole season to settle in at city, took Klopp a couple of seasons their both top managers. I understand your point and respect what your saying mate, I just feel we don’t really have the luxury of time left.

I wouldn’t bother Stroller
Abu thinks Arteta is the answer to all our woes , that proves Abu knows fuck all .

That just reminds me of the story over the summer that said the club deliberately leaked false information to John Cross to make him look like a fool. I’m here for that kind of shithousery.

Am I the only one that isn’t huge on the Poch at Arsenal idea? :see_no_evil:

The left-field option: Giovanni van Bronckhorst

Now this one may come as a surprise, but it makes some sense.

Firstly, the Dutchman knows Arsenal well having been with the club between 2001 and 2003, winning the Premier League and FA Cup in north London.

Secondly, he has experience and success as a manager, spending four years as Feyenoord boss, guiding the Dutch giants to their first Eredivisie title in 18 years in 2016/17 and winning the KNVB Cup and Johan Cryuff Shield twice each.

Thirdly, while he may be currently at Manchester City learning from Guardiola after leaving Feyenoord this summer, he has expressed a desire to return to management soon.

Van Bronckhorst might seem like an outside the box candidate, but Arsenal could certainly do worse.

No… just no… sorry.

You’d know better be than me…didn’t do a good enough job at Feyenoord?

Elaborate please bro. Interested to see how he’s done.

Reports saying he may replace Arteta at city if Mikel becomes our manager.

Bastards basically cooopted our entire culture, fucking plastic bottling fucks.

These are our former players, stop stealing them from blood money you cunts.

God, the fossil free future can’t come soon enough, just to see these assholes get it hard.

Imagine how poor Arteta would feel if we hired one of Pep’s other cone collectors :poldi:

Whoever the next manager is, he’s got a tough job cut out for him as half of these players in this squad will down tools again like they did for Emery, no doubt in my mind. Needs a coach who won’t take shit and won’t back from the tough decisions. I think half this squad needs to go, think we need some leaders and some tough PL quality players. I don’t want Arteta or Freddie personally, for me Poch, Rodgers or Allegri will be the choices for me.
