Sadly heās triggered a one year extension apparently so it seems as though weāre stuck with him for another campaign.
Heās triggered? What does that mean? Monreal has the ability to trigger a contract extension and not the club?
I assume he might have had an appearance based clause in his contract for a further season ? Donāt see why else weād have contracted him for the 19/20 season ? 
Neither do I! Always like Nacho but I think heās finished. Best we should be promising him is the occasional substitute appearance
Think he will be used as a CB this coming season. We are low on numbers and his age prevent him for being the fullback we want him to be.
We could even see him as CB in a 4 man defence !
That would be disgraceful as per.

Monreal and AMN, as well as the other two members of the Arsenal back four, offered an unexpected great performance at St Jamesā Park.
They defended very well and looked sharp on attack. This first clean sheet of the seasons a big response to the criticisms.

Yeah it was a comfortable performance by him yesterday and small pluses like this would be great going forward for the season.

Canāt wait for Tierney to be ready and kola to come back, he was finished as a player last season and I absolutely hate the guys whining at team mates because of something he done, I also hate how he never plays to the whistle.
Yesterday a finger touched his face and he stopped running with the ball , loses it and they counter and have a shot on target whilst hes still moaning .
He was excellent yesterday. Would love to see his stats for the game.

Monreal was pretty damn good, if he can keep performing at that level he will more than have earned his place as a utility left sided defender on our team.
He was good, but when we play Liverpool and Spurs in the coming weeks everyone will be reminded as to why we signed Tierney.
