I like the way he recieves the ball. He’s very calm on it. Rice should take notes.
Has a lot of potential as a midfielder.

The first touch is very important, which a lot of players ignore/lack of.
MLS has a very good balance and skills to dribble off traffic, a very good asset.
I just love how he controls the ball, beat the forwards/press and not simply look for safe options.
Kids should play like that and I see a very good player in him.
He definitely is a bull
Probably the only positive from today’s shower of shit team performance. Great to see another academy kid making the step up and showing out.
I will try him as LW
He is a midfielder. At some point, we should play him in Merino’s spot and see what he’s like in terms of creativity.
you think it is strange…
Martinelli is already a defensive winger… and MLS can be a LB, LWB, CM… better control of the ball, has ability to dribble and a natural left footer (to cross).
Why not?
Very solid performance from the bull
Cartoons were so much better back then.
Nah. They were just as ‘woke’ back then.
Even our Bugs identified they.
Bloody Marxists taking over my Loony Tunes!
Our generation needs to be ashamed for destroying the quality of cartoons.
Really pleased he is getting more minutes now. He really plays in a similar fashion to Timber but with better range in his passing. Very effective in tight situations and can soak up the pressure from opposition players.
Quality player.
we can smoothly transition Calafiori to a CB rather than forcing to play him as LB if MLS is doing great.
having Saliba and Gabriel to start 99% of our games as CBs is really risky.
I’m so impressed with MLS. Really wasn’t on my radar that we had a player of this quality so near to the first team. Given our injury record this season, I am reluctant to say it, but his form and emergence within the team makes me feel much more relaxed about selling Kiwior now. Gabriel, Calafiori, and MLS is nicely balanced against Saliba, Timber and White. Zinny and Tomi aren’t bad 7th and 8th choice defenders either!
Really hope he continues with this impressive form!
I know right. I wasn’t focusing on the game and at times confused one for the other.
Rare instance where Arteta prepared a backup well enough for the player to step in and perform.
So nothing to do with a player being good?
it has a lot to do with it ofcourse but Arteta wouldn’t have as much confidence in him if he had not played him before in dead matches. Instead Arteta would have rushed Calafiori or played Kiwior there.
He proactively brought in Lewis-Skelly right from the preseason. Played the kid gradually in league cup & CL and now we have a player ready to step in.
That’s highly unusual from Arteta who never introduced a player unless forced to. Arteta is improving.
Yeah but there’s also the element of the player being good enough too. What players have we had prior to this that have been at the requisite level but not been introduced?
Nwaneri is being slowly blooded and there are maybe a few instances where he might have played a little more but in general I think we have dealt with his development pretty well, starting the cup games and getting some minutes in the PL.
And yeah, I do think Arteta has some issues around playing players or more specifically sticking to the same guys a bit too much but in terms of developing players, I can’t really think of any major examples where we have missed.
